Fort Rucker Physical Fitness Center
The Fort Rucker Physical Fitness Center is a 64,000 square foot facility offering a variety of cardiovascular equipment ranging from treadmills to Concept2 rowers, LifeFitness selectorized equipment, and a free weight and dumbbell area with a Hammer Strength circuit. Additionally, it features a Functional Fitness Area equipped with power racks, lifting platforms, bumper plates, Olympic bars and plates, TRX bands, agility ladders, climbing ropes, and pull up bars.
The Fort Rucker Physical Fitness Center hosts a variety of fitness programs and events including personal training, group fitness, competitive running events, weight lifting competitions and health promotion events. Patrons have access to men's and women's locker rooms with amenities including sauna, steam room, and swimsuit water extractor; lockers are available for daily use and rental. The Fort Rucker Thrift Shop raises funds for worthy causes through the sale of donated and consigned merchandise. The Thrift Shop carries a great selection of household items, clothes, decorations, toys, and books. Over the years many organizations have benefited from its financial support including the Holiday Food baskets, community and local libraries and schools, Scouting programs, Wounded Warriors, Disabled American Veterans, the VA hospitals, Wiregrass Emergency Pregnancy Services, Relay for Life, and many others.
The Thrift Shop is completely dependent on the support and generosity of donors and volunteers. Help is always welcome and much needed in all aspects of the shop. Anyone may shop at the Thrift Shop, we do no check IDs. Additionally, fundraising opportunities are available.

Fort Rucker Wounded Warrior Recreation
Fort Rucker Wounded Warrior Recreation provides Wounded Warriors and handicapped hunters with specialized hunting and recreational equipment at Fort Rucker; this equipment makes hunting more accessible for hunters with physical limitations. The Fort Rucker Outdoor Recreation department secured the equipment from monies raised during past Wounded Warrior Fall Hunts. Additionally, a specially designed, customized Rhino boat was purchased with funds raised during the 2012 Wounded Warrior Hunt. The boat, named "The Warrior," has been completely customized to fit the needs of a physically disabled person to be able to operate the 8 passenger boat or be a passenger on the boat. Patrons can coordinate with Fort Rucker Outdoor Recreation Service Center for assistance with using the equipment. Patrons wanting to utilize the boat must complete the Fort Rucker Boater Safety Course. Additionally, a separate safety brief is given to all patrons before the boat is released.

The Fortenberry-Colton Physical Fitness Center (PFC) is a 21,400 square foot facility that boasts top-of-the-line LifeFitness cardiovascular equipment, Strive selectorized strength equipment, and LifeFitness free weights. The facility includes a fitness room offering Cardio Theater for televisions viewing, regulation basketball court, two practice courts, two volleyball courts, and a group fitness room. Also available is a 28-foot climbing wall with four auto-belay systems and four manual belays, which allows four people to climb simultaneously. Riding Stables
The Fort Rucker Riding Stables is surrounded by over 10,000 acres of beautifully wooded trails. The complex includes a clubhouse with bathroom facilities and an emergency phone. Four community pastures, hay barn, 40 duplex barns with individual tack rooms and paddocks are available on-site as well as 67 stalls for transient and show horses. The Fort Rucker Riding Stables has two regulation dressage rings and two breaking pens. A lighted western arena and lighted jump/show arena, covered farriers' shed and double wash stalls with warm water are also available to patrons. Hay and stall bedding may be purchased from the Fort Rucker Riding Stables office. Additionally, a convenient flexible feed service program is offered to patrons.

Silver Wings Golf Course
Silver Wings Golf Course is a 27-hole championship facility. The course has outstanding champion Bermuda greens and one of the most challenging layouts in the region. The fairways are tree-lined with numerous hardwoods and pines that gently roll through different elevation changes. The facility also boasts a fully stocked Golf Pro Shop, Divots Restaurant and Grille, meeting and banquet rooms, and a 300 yard long lit practice range. The facility is open to the public and offers several types of membership opportunities; membership includes unlimited green fees, advanced tee times, Golf Pro Shop merchandise discounts, members-only tournaments, discounted outside tournament fees, complimentary USGA GHIN handicap, and reduced room fees and food minimums in Divots' banquet room.

Youth Sports and Fitness
The Youth Sports and Fitness program offers a wide range of opportunities for participation in sports, as well as fitness and health and outreach activities. The program employs a philosophy of "fun, fundamental, and maximum participation." Maintaining league standings, win and loss statistics, and emphasizing winning at all cost defeats the idea that a child's growth and development can be enriched by participating in sports activities. Enrollment and registration forms can be found at Parent Central or WEBTRAC.
