Emergency Placement Child Care

Short-term care (foster care) for children who may be in an abusive or neglectful situation and need a home for a short period of time.&nabs; Volunteer families provide a safe and warm environment for child to stay.&nabs; Placement is a minimum of three days to a maximum of 90 days in an EPC home.

Furniture Lender. To assist families in moving into housing immediately, short-term loaner furniture can be provided for 90 days or until household goods arrive. The housing office also assists with CFMO, providing items that do not come standard in Italian homes. Transformers and adapters are available for purchase at the PX or VCC Thrift Store.

American Red Cross certified swimming lessons are offered for adults as well as lifeguard training for qualified children and adults through our Family and Morale, Welfare, and Recreation (FMWR), Aquatics Program Branch.

Tax Relief Office

Personnel residing in private rental housing may take advantage of the Tax Relief Office (TRO) Utility Tax Exemption Program (UTEP) for Methane gas (City Gas) and Liquid Propane Gas (GPL). The Tax Relief Office requires a $232.00 service fee per year because the Tax Relief Office is a Non-Appropriated Fund function. Remember though that by joining UTEP, you could save on your home heating bills 32-48%. The Directorate of Public Works Housing Division will work with the customers regarding electricity and water.

Shuttle Bus

USAG Italy contracts a shuttle bus service to Marco Polo Airport and between Villaggio housing, Caserma Ederle and Caserma Del Din. Per USAG Italy policy, priority (in order) goes to PCS families, emergency leave, temporary active duty and leisure travel. CAC card access is required to view shuttle services. For force protection purposes, DO NOT SHARE bus schedules on social media sites.

Transportation Motorpool (TMP)

Provide installation logistical programs and services which enhance unit readiness, power projection, and the community quality of life for the forces and families we serve. *Shuttle Bus*: The shuttle bus schedule requires CAC authentication. Select the CAC certificate that includes the word 'email.' The Mass Transit runs Monday - Friday from 1000 to 1630 and the Del Din Shuttle is 0900-1800.

Vehicle Registration

All vehicle registration activities take place at the Vehicle Processing Center (VPC): Vehicle Registration Office, Inspection Warehouse & Vehicle Safety Inspection. You will need to register all vehicles annually. Annual registration is also required to receive a fuel card each year to purchase fuel and oil coupons for your primary vehicle. Given to parents with children ages 0-3. Can be self, command, or medically referred, but services are voluntary. Garrison Safety ensures safe and healthy workplaces within the VMC and DMC. Safety professionals inspect facilities to identify hazards for abatement actions. Sexual Assault Response Coordinator (SARC)

Sexual Harassment and Assault - 24/7 Advocacy and Reporting Hotline, Information, Referral, and Assistance

Emergency/crisis intervention services are open to Service Members, their Dependents (18+), and Department of the Army Civilians. SHARP Victim Advocates are trained professionals who provide information, referral, crisis intervention and day to day support to victims (age 18+) of sexual assault. SHARP Victim advocates help provide information and guidance on SHARP Harassment policies and reporting options. OCONUS SHARP VAs work closely with EO and EEO to ensure informal and formal reports of sexual harassment are answered by the appropriate agency. SHARP Victim advocates are available to educate on sexual assault restricted and unrestricted reporting options 24 hours a day and 7 days a week. Victim advocates provide the following services to victims of sexual assault: information, referral, support in unrestricted/restricted reporting, safety planning, assistance with investigation (when elected), military protection orders, expedited transfer, accompaniment to court, medical consultation.

The Wellness Center offers several education programs with emphasis on physical fitness, healthy nutrition, stress management, general health education, and Tobacco Cessation education.

Armed Forces Wellness Center

Unit Assessments, Health Assessments, Metabolic Testing, Fitness Assessments, Body Composition Analysis (Bod Pod), Energy Management (Stress), Educational Classes: Upping Your Metabolism, Nutrition for performance, Introduction to Biofeedback (2 part series), Meals in Minutes. Physical fitness, health and stress management, general health education and tobacco cessation education.

Body Composition Testing (Bod Pod) - Army Wellness Center (AWC)

The Wellness Center offers body composition testing using the Bod Pod to determine body fat percentage by the ratio of fat mass and fat free mass. Note: Health Assessment must be completed prior to appointment.

Fitness Testing - Armed Forces Wellness Center

The Wellness Center has state of the art equipment to assess flexibility, muscular strength, cardio respiratory fitness levels, and body composition. In conjunction with fitness testing patients receive a comprehensive report that shows current fitness levels. The clinicians provide education on results and individualized exercise counseling to meet goals. Note: A Health Assesment must be completed prior to your appointment.

Nutrition Education - Army Wellness Center (AWC)

The Wellness Center has state of the art equipment to assess an individual’s Resting Metabolic Rate. Following this assessment a client will attend either the "Upping Your Metabolism" class or the "Nutrition for Performance" class to receive a comprehensive report that shows their results. The classes will help them understand how to effectively use their results to reach their goals. Note: A Health Assessment must be completed prior.

Stress Management - Armed Forces Wellness Center

The Wellness Center has a state of the art massage chair available during hours of operation to all members of the community. Also, energy management software is available to teach breathing and relaxation techniques using biofeedback. Note: A Health Assessment must be completed prior to your appointment.

Tobacco Cessation - Armed Forces Wellness Center

The Wellness Center has teamed up with subject matter experts to bring to those individuals that want to quit using tobacco products a comprehensive program. This program will give an individual the tools needed to become a non-smoker and/or user. Note: Health Assessment must be completed prior to appointment

Weight Management - Armed Forces Wellness Center

The Wellness Center has state of the art equipment to assess an individual’s Resting Metabolic Rate.
