Academic Performance Training (APT) includes skills that help optimize classroom performance and maximize academic results. Alcohol-Related Issues
1. Active-duty personnel: The clinical services for Army Substance Abuse Program are provided by the Substance Use Disorder Clinical Care (SUDCC). SUDCC is an outpatient substance abuse treatment service available to all active-duty personnel. SUDCC's mission is to support military readiness by providing effective treatment strategies that will enable individuals to develop abstinence, enhance quality of life and promote healthy lifestyles. The SUDCC staff is committed to the enhancement of quality living through early identification, evidenced based interventions, individualized treatment plans and aftercare strategies to prevent relapse. The following clinical services are available: Diagnostic Evaluations Outpatient Rehabilitation Individual and Group, Family and Couple Therapy After Care Rehabilitation Referrals for Medication Management Referrals to Prime For Life Education 2. Civilian employees, including Contractors and Local National employees, Family Members, and Retirees: Employee Assistance Program (EAP) services include screening, assessment, problem solving, referral, mediation and group facilitation. Anger Management Classes
The Family Advocacy Program in Europe (FAP-E) outreach and prevention program is designed to strengthen and improve the quality of life for our military Families by increasing self-sufficiency, resiliency and community cohesion for active duty, Family members, civilians and retirees. FAP-E is dedicated to helping Soldiers and Families address the unique challenges of military life, living overseas and understanding how unmanaged stress can lead to child abuse and domestic violence. Services focus on prevention, education, prompt reporting, investigation, intervention, and treatment.
Anger Management Therapy and Treatment
Social Work services, offered within the Department of Behavioral Health, can assist individuals and families cope more effectively with stress resulting from illness, disability, hospitalization, family violence or emotional stress. Anger Management counseling is available.
Anxiety Therapy and Counseling
Supportive counseling services are available for personnel seeking treatment for anxiety. Virtual appointments are available.
Army Pregnancy Postpartum Physical Training (P3T) EDUCATION
Pregnancy and Postpartum Physical Training (P3T) education provides training for enhanced knowledge, skills, and resources to assist Soldiers during pregnancy and postpartum, and prepare Soldiers for delivery, recovery, and parenting.

Discuss the causes of anger and how it affects your health, relationships, and well-being. The focus is on helping people express their anger in a controlled and appropriate way.

Babysitting - Health and Safety Classes
Spangdahlem Red Cross Office provides Babysitter's Course and Pediatric CPR/ AED/ First Aid.
Babysitting Training
CYS offers training following the 4-H babysitter curriculum in becoming a certified Teen Babysitter. Teen military family members in grades 7 and up who wish to to expand and market themselves for babysitting jobs can be placed on the babysitter's referral list with parent permission. Military parents needing babysitters must complete a request form located at Parent Central Services. Once parents complete the required form, they will receive a list of babysitter information based on specified requirements (location, availability, etc). After receiving a list of babysitters, parents can make arrangements directly with the babysitter. All arrangements and fees for care are between the parent and babysitter. CYS offers Babysitting Referral Services for registered families. Babysitters on the referral list are 13 years or older, have certification in First Aid and CPR, and are trained in: Developmentally appropriate play Recognition of child abuse/neglect Emergency procedures and interviewing

The Exceptional Family Member Program (EFMP) provides information and assistance to involve families in community support services to meet their exceptional needs and ensures that facilities and programs are accessible. Education and support groups meet monthly. EFMP is a mandatory enrollment program that works with other military and civilian agencies to provide comprehensive and coordinated community support, housing, educational, medical, and personnel services to Families with special needs. Soldiers on active duty enroll in the program when they have a Family member with a physical, emotional, developmental, or intellectual disorder requiring specialized services so their needs can be considered in the military personnel assignment process.

Children's Issues- Counseling
Supportive counseling services available to families with a focus on problems exhibited by children including depression, anxiety, school problems, deployment issues and anger. Behavioral Health is the balance between thoughts, moods, and behaviors. Disruption of this balance can result in problems like relationship conflict, worsening work or school performance, and difficulty meeting responsibilities. Maintaining behavioral health, or getting back on track once behavioral health has been disrupted, requires help and support.

Drug Testing Program: The Army Drug Testing Program is a command program composed of the Soldier, the commander, the Unit Prevention Leader (UPL), the Army Substance Abuse Program (ASAP) staff, the Forensic Toxicology Drug Testing Laboratories (FTDTL), the Medical Review Officer and the Staff Judge Advocate. The program has three primary goals: To deter service members from abusing drugs including illegal drugs and other illicit drugs. Be a tool for commanders to assess the security, military fitness, good order and discipline of their commands. Serve as a basis to take appropriate action, adverse or other (including referral for treatment), with a service member based on a positive test result.

Housing Environmental Health Response Registry
The Housing Environmental Health Response Registry is a resource for residents to report housing-related health information and concerns. Residents will be invited to enroll in the registry and initiate an exchange with public health professionals. Registry participants will receive information on in-home environmental health, assistance in seeking medical care, and an opportunity to share concerns with Army leadership.

Lending Closet (ACS)
The Lending Closet is a service provided by the Army Community Service (ACS) center to help soldiers and their families in the transition process (inbound or outbound) by providing them with household essentials they may need. The main purpose of the loan closet is to satisfy the immediate needs of the family. The priority usage of baby items goes to families in transition. Other members of the community may also use the items, based on availability (Family visit, friends, newborn) and must return the items if needed.

Host Nation Patient Liaisons can: 1) Help plan your transfer from a Military Treatment Facility to a Host Nation medical facility or from a Host Nation facility to a military medical facility by civilian ambulance or by your privately owned vehicle. 2) Ease language barriers between the patient and Host Nation Providers and pro vide the patient with a copy of the U.S. Army Europe Medical Phrase Book. 3) Talk to your Host Nation physician to get up-to-date information on your medical condition and treatment plan. 4) Answer questions about treatment, environment of care, and follow-up care to the best of their knowledge, or when doctors are unavailable.

Suicide Prevention - Confidential Counseling and Referral
Military and Family Life Counselors are available for individual evaluations and counseling. Licensed clinicians provide short term, situational problem-solving confidential consultation to help Service Members and their families cope with the stress resulting from military life. Non-clinical individual counseling is available from the Military & Family Life Consultants (MFLC). The MFLC Program provides short-term, non-medical counseling support for a range of issues including: relationships, crisis intervention, stress management, grief, occupational and other individual and family issues. Psycho-educational presentations focused on issues common to the military family including: reunion/reintegration, stress/coping, grief/loss and deployment are provided to commands, Family Readiness Groups (FRGs), Soldier Readiness Processing and other locations, as requested. Support for these issues empowers individuals during the problem-solving process, increases individual and family competency and resilience in coping with the challenges of military life and ensures that these issues do not detract from operational readiness
