1-Airman and Family Readiness Center
Provide programs and services which strengthen communities and promote self-sufficiency, mission readiness and adaption to the military way of life. Classes and services are available to all Fort Gordon ID card holders. Core programs include: Information and Referral, Personal Financial Management, Air Force Aid (emergency financial assistance), Survivor Benefits for Retiring Members, Relocation Assistance, Transition Assistance, Employment Assistance, Exceptional Family Member Program, Readiness and Deployment Support, Key Spouse Program, Adult and Family Life Skills, and Volunteer Resources.
Academy of Richmond County (ARC) High School
ARC is a Richmond County Board of Education School serving grades 9-12. ARC’s mission is to educate students to become lifelong learners and productive citizens.
Air Quality Index
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has a tool to communicate the status of local air quality to the public—the Air Quality Index (AQI). The AQI is derived from real-time air pollution measurements taken at monitoring stations throughout the United States. The AQI has three components: a color, a score and a health message recommending protective action based on the level of air pollution.
Alternate Escapes Recreation Center
Services include: pool tables, free WiFi, nine TV viewing areas, 90 inch TV for viewing movies, Saturday night D.J., ping pong table, arcade games, Alternate Escape Café, Game Link Lounge, and Domino’s Pizza.

Provides Emergency Communication Messages for Service Members and their Families; causality outreach; pre-deployment briefings, hospital volunteer program
Annual Drinking Water Quality Report
The Consumer Confidence Report (CCR) is an annual drinking water quality report prepared by an organization that provides drinking water through a community water system. The US EPA requires that water purveyors for community water systems provide a CCR to their customers by July 1st every year. Information contained in the CCR includes the source of drinking water, applicable water quality requirements, and water system monitoring results for the previous year.
Army Community Service
The mission of ACS is to facilitate a commander’s ability to provide comprehensive, coordinated and responsive services which support readiness of Soldiers, DA Civilian employees and their Families. We equip people with the skills and support to face military life today and tomorrow. Information and Referral Services: (706-791-0792); the Information Desk operates Monday - Friday, 0730 - 1600. A staff member performs receptionist duties, screens individuals requesting assistance, provides routine information on just about any topic and, when appropriate, makes referrals to ACS programs or other agencies within the community. Orientations and Briefings: The ACS staff is available to conduct or participate in orientations, briefings, and presentations. Sessions are arranged to familiarize Commanders, Military Personnel, Family Members, and the community with the services and resources available through ACS. Family Outreach Center: (706-791-5220); the ACS manages a multi-functional facility where many of their prevention classes are held. The facility offers two large training rooms, a full size kitchen, meeting area, covered outdoor playground for small children and a covered patio with two large outdoor grills. The facility is available for Family Readiness Group (FRG) meetings or Unit-related activities, by reservation only. The facility also serves as a Family Assistance Center which has priority for all usage.

Army Family Action Plan (AFAP)
This grass roots program was developed to solicit input from all members of the Army family and to ensure their comments and ideas for change in programs and/or services is heard at the “top.” Issues may be submitted year-round at the ACS web site. An annual conference is held and representative delegates determine their priority for action at the installation, Army Commands, or Region, or DA level.

Designed to enhance coping skills and assist military families with being more self-reliant and self-sufficient.
Army Pregnancy Postpartum Physical Training (P3T) EDUCATION
Pregnancy and Postpartum Physical Training (P3T) exercise sessions assist Soldiers in maintaining optimal fitness during pregnancy and improving readiness postpartum, to return a fit Soldier back to unit PRT after maternity leave and the postpartum period.

Army Substance Abuse Program (ASAP) - Prevention
A wide range of prevention activities are available including: Employee Assistance Program, drug testing, risk reduction, prevention training, alcohol and drug prevention training, and suicide prevention.
Army Wellness Center (AWC)
Provides a standardized set of services to include: physical fitness assessment, metabolic assessment, body composition, biofeedback and wellness classes covering metabolism, stress management, and much more. Services are free of charge to Active Duty, Spouses and Dependents age 17 and older; Retirees, Spouses and Dependents age 17 and older, and DA Civilians. Call to schedule an appointment.

Augusta Vet Center
The Augusta Vet Center is part of the Veterans Health Administration's Readjustment Counseling Service. It offers a wide range of counseling, outreach, and referral services. These services are free and confidential for qualifying veterans and active duty service members who have served in a combat zone or area of hostility and include: Assessment, Mental Health Counseling (individual, couple/family, or group), Counseling for Military Sexual Trauma, Bereavement Counseling, Employment and Education Referrals, Benefits Assistance and Referrals, and assistance connecting with other VA and community resources.
Augusta Warrior Project (AWP) - Transition Success Center
AWP connects Service Members and their Families who live in the Greater Augusta area of Georgia and South Carolina (Central Savannah River Area - CSRA) with resources that improve their lives in the areas of education, employment and veteran benefits. Augusta Warrior Project’s model is based on developing a proactive relationship with Service Members in order to prevent or mitigate life crisis by holistically addressing issues early and collectively with our partners. Service Member assistance is coordinated by Augusta Warrior Project advocates. Their collaborative relationships with local, state, and national organizations ensures the well-deserved support for Service Members and their families.
Augusta/Central Savannah River Area (CSRA) Habitat for Humanity
Nonprofit, ecumenical Christian housing organization, locally run affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International. Habitat for Humanity works in partnership with people in need to build and renovate decent, affordable housing. The houses then are sold to those in need at no profit and with no interest charged. Volunteers provide most of the labor, and individual and corporate donors provide money and materials to build Habitat houses. Partner families themselves invest hundreds of hours of labor - 'sweat equity' - into building their homes and the homes of others. Their mortgage payments go into a revolving fund for Humanity that is used to build more houses. Habitat does not provide for urgent or emergency housing needs.
Augusta/Central Savannah River Area (CSRA) Habitat for Humanity ReStores
The Habitat ReStores are retail stores for new and used building, home-improvement materials and household goods. All merchandise donated to the ReStore is sold at prices substantially below retail value. Materials are sold to the public, including Do-It-Yourselfers, Contractors and Homeowners. The ReStore accepts most donations of new and used building and home-improvement materials that are in good, usable condition. Please call 706-481-9215 and select option #1 to make arrangements for donations. Pick up is available in some areas. Volunteers also are welcomed in the Habitat ReStore and to participate on committees.

Single Service Members voice their concerns to their unit BOSS (Better Opportunities for Single Soldiers) representative who will in turn express the issues at the weekly BOSS meetings.
Bingo Palace
Fort Gordon Bingo Palace is rated the #1 bingo program in the Army. It offers paper packs, as well as computer play. The customer base is of all ages. Bingo Palace also offers Speed Bingo for patrons who enjoy a fast and furious atmosphere (every night after regular programs).
Bowling Center (Gordon Lanes Bowling Center)
Fun for the whole family to include 24 lanes of bowling, 24 number electronic Bingo, Kegler's snack bar, and Heroes sports bar.
Car Care (Gordon Car Care Auto Skills)
Offers full service repairs and auto skills bay rentals. Other services include: 24-hour access storage facility, vehicle re-sale lot, storage lots for cars, RVs, trailers, boats, campers and more.
Center Chaplain's Office (CCO), Religious Services
Provide comprehensive pastoral care and unit based religious support to the Fort Gordon community. Implement free exercise of religion. Advise and assist the command to care for Soldiers and Family Members. Accompany Soldiers in peace, crisis, and war.
Child Development Center- East
Full day National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) accredited and DoD certified program for infants, pre-toddlers, toddlers, and preschool children ages 6 weeks to 5 years of age. This program also participates in the Georgia Prekindergarten program.

The Division of Child Support Services enhances the well-being of children by various means including: locating alleged fathers and Non-Custodial Parents, establishing paternity, and collecting and distributing child support payments.

Christmas House
The purpose of the Christmas House Project is to ensure a traditional holiday celebration for those military Families unable to provide their own. Active duty and retired military Families may apply. This assistance is provided in the form of food and toys. The application period is October 1st through November 15th annually.
Civilian Personnel Advisory Center (CPAC)
Provides information about federal employment opportunities at Fort Gordon, non-appropriated fund (NAF) employment, certain private sector employment and federal jobs at other locations.
Columbia County Department of Family and Children Services (DFCS)
DFCS provides Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF), Food Stamps and Medicaid related services. Adult and child protective service, adoption and foster placement. No charge for service.
Columbia County Transit
Offers safe, clean, and dependable transportation. Transportation is provided to and from: education facilities, employment centers, shopping facilities, medical facilities, recreational facilities, and general places of business.

DDEAMC Child and Family Behavioral Health Service (CAFBHS)
Provides direct behavioral health care services for children, adolescents, adult Family Members, couples, families, and Retirees. Services provided include psychosocial assessments, medication management, psychological testing, individual counseling, couples counseling, family therapy, group therapy, and psycho-education. CAFBHS therapists also provide individual and group counseling for sexual assault victims, including the Sexual Assault Recovery group, for both Active Duty and dependents. CAFBHS also provides behavioral health consultation to primary care managers, schools, community agencies, and other mental health providers.
DDEAMC Dental Clinic
The clinic's primary mission is to provide dental services to assigned personnel. The clinic's secondary mission is to support postgraduate dental education and training of Dental Corps officers participating in the Oral Maxillofacial Surgery Residency Training Program.
DDEAMC Preventive Medicine
Environmental Health: Provides food and water safety inspections, food handler education, field sanitation class, barber shops health inspection, hazardous waste surveillance, and mosquito surveillance. Industrial Hygiene: Air and noise quality surveillance, Ergonomics assessment, ventilation quality assessment, and respiratory fit testing. Army Public Health Nurse: Health education on STI and HIV, latent TB infection, animal bite surveillance, Child and Youth Services health inspection and consultation, pregnancy PT, Performance Triad, annual flu vaccination, communicable disease surveillance and investigation, and other preventive and health promotion education. Tobacco Cessation Program Call for dates/times Outpatient Behavioral Health offers a four session tobacco cessation program. Participants must attend all four sessions. Medications and nicotine replacement therapy is provided. Booster sessions are provided for those who have completed the four sessions and need extra support.

Operating in a beautiful, state of the art facility, this professionally directed Community Theatre has top notch performers, professional stage settings and technical support. It promises: great shows, great food, and unsurpassable customer service. Reservations required. Fees on website.
Directorate of Emergency Services (Police/Fire)
The Fort Gordon Law Enforcement Center provides a variety of services to the Fort Gordon community to include weapons registration, documentation for lost ID card replacement, lost and found, walk-in reports, and traffic accident investigations. It also provides law enforcement capabilities across the installation to ensure a safe and secure environment for the Soldiers and civilians of the Fort Gordon community.
Directorate of Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation (DFMWR/MWR)
MWR programs, services and activities offer Soldiers and Families opportunities to enrich their lives culturally and creatively. Their programs relieve stress, build strength and resilience, and help the Army Family stay physically, mentally, and financially fit. Their programs include: Child and Youth Services; Army Family Programs; Soldier Programs & Community Recreation; Family and MWR Business Initiatives; Armed Forces Recreation Centers; MWR Recreation Delivery to theater operations.
Disc Golf (Fort Gordon Disc Golf Course)
18-Hole Professional Disc Golf Course (36 hole -- early 2017). Disc golf is played like traditional golf, but with flying disc instead of balls and clubs. Players throw from the designated tee area to a metal basket. One point or stroke is counted each time the disc is thrown. The goal is to complete the hole with the fewest throws. The layout, suggested route and par for each hole will be displayed on the tee sign at each tee box.

Drug Disposal
Most unused and unneeded pharmaceuticals can be disposed in special drop boxes located at the pharmacy. This removes potentially harmful medications from the home and provides environmentally safe disposal. Contact the Pharmacy for any special concerns.

Education Services Division (ESD)
The Education Services Division offers counseling, college information, testing, a study area, and a computer lab. Counseling services include: education, career, and guidance counseling; MOS training, financial aid information i.e., scholarships, grants, loans, and FAFSA assistance; GI Bill education benefits program information, Tuition Assistance, evaluation of military experience for civilian college credit using the Joint Service Transcript (JST) or DD295, ROTC Green to Gold Program, AMEDD & IPAP information, and the FAST/BSEP program. Counselors will use the GoArmyEd website to maintain your education records. Counselors available: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday: 7:30 a.m. - 11:30 am, 1 p.m. - 4 p.m. closed during lunch 11:30 a.m.m - 1 p.m. The MLF is available for use and has a computer lab (CAC required), a study area, and college information for the onsite colleges and the colleges that visit the instillation quarterly. The testing center is located in the building and the TCO administers ONLY the following tests: TABE, SIFT, AFCT, SAT, and ACT. The Education Services Division does NOT offer any Proctoring. The in-processing brief is held in Darling Hall (Room 229) every Monday and Thursday at 1300. Non-Permanent Party in-processing can be done at the ESD office any day during normal business hours. Employment Readiness Program (ERP)
The Army has established partnerships with several large corporations that have agreed to provide employment to Military spouses. The mission of the ERP is to provide Family Members with information and assistance regarding employment and educational opportunities. ERP services include an online vacancy board of off-post job opportunities, individual counseling, resume workshops, employment-related workshops and activities, and referrals of vacancies through email.
Equal Employment Opportunity Office (EEO)
EEO serves as the Garrison Commander's primary advisor on EEO/Affirmative Employment. The office also: • Manages the Department of the Army’s complaints processing system. • Provides EEO related training. • Serves as a liaison between Fort Gordon and community leaders and organizations. • Provides leadership and guidance in administering the Special Emphasis Programs. • Plans, develops and monitors the implementation of the Fort Gordon Affirmative Employment Plan.

The program is designed to: • Provide EO for military personnel and family members, both on and off post and within the laws of localities, states, and host nations. • Create and sustain effective units by eliminating discriminatory behaviors or practices that undermine teamwork, mutual respect, loyalty, and shared sacrifice of the men and women of America's Army.
Exceptional Family Member Program (EFMP)
The EFMP provides services to military Families who have Family Members with physical, emotional, developmental, or intellectual challenges. Information and assistance are available regarding military and civilian resources in the community, respite care, education services, care providers’ programs, summer camp programs, advocacy services, support groups, Family activities and workshops. To enroll an Exceptional Family Member (EFM), contact the clinic at Eisenhower Army Medical Center, Room 110 at 706-787-9300.
Family Advocacy Program (FAP)
This program is dedicated to the prevention, prompt reporting, intervention and treatment of spouse and child abuse. Family Advocacy Program works with individuals and Families to enhance individual coping skills and strengthen Family relationships. Some services available include emergency shelter, emergency transportation, emergency respite care, new parent support, and victim advocacy. Restricted and unrestricted reporting options are available. Financial Readiness
ACS provides regular classes on personal financial management including budgeting basics, and schedules classes by unit request on a variety of financial related topics. They also work with Army Emergency Relief.
Fisher House (DDEAMC)
DDEAMC Fisher House provides temporary lodging in a warm, compassionate and caring “home away from home” environment to members of the Armed Services, Retirees, Veterans and their Families during a medical crisis. The Fisher House is a home away from home for families of patients who are currently admitted as patients at DDEAMC and the family member(s) are physically in the area. The Fisher House is a temporary residence and not a treatment facility, hospice, transient lodging facility or counseling center. Health care providers are not on the Fisher House staff. Families wishing to stay at the Fisher House should have a Fisher House referral form filled-out by their health care provider. Referral forms are available at the website address above. If the Fisher House is full the referral form will be used to add the families to the waiting list. Freedom Park School
Freedom Park School is a Richmond County Board of Education School serving grades K-8. All K-8 school students who live on-post are zoned to attend Freedom Park. The goals of Freedom Park School are to build the self-esteem of all students, to provide programs enhanced by computer technology, to support and enforce the academic program that is given from the state and county, and to encourage a supportive and open partnership among students, teachers, parents and community.
Georgia Drug Abuse Helpline
Provides free, confidential, telephone substance abuse crisis intervention, information and referral resources to any individual in the state of Georgia.
Georgia Legal Aid
Provides free legal services to low-income people in civil matters in the 154 Georgia counties outside the 5 county Atlanta metropolitan area.
Georgia Poison Center Augusta
Free 24 hour emergency telephone information service for treatment advice for human and animal poisonings, safe drug use, pill identification, rabies exposure information, and medication safety.
Golden Harvest Food Bank
Food pantries and soup kitchens to feed the hungry, mobile food pantries, free noon-time meal at The Master’s Table (702 Fenwick St., Augusta, GA 30901).
Goodwill Job Connection
Local and regional job leads, Internet-accessed computers, resume and career exploration software, copiers, fax and phone, employment fairs, weekly classes including GED, computers, job search, resume and cover letter workshops and others. Retail hours: Monday - Saturday 9 a.m. - 8 p.m., Sunday 12 p.m. - 6 p.m.

With multiple rooms for a variety of groups, the facility can provide that special touch of class to your event. All prices are tailored to your event – from coffee service to full-service catering. Gordon Lakes Golf Club
The Golf Club is a championship, 27-hole layout that has hosted the All Armed Forces Championship and the All Army Golf Trials. It has an active tournament program, handicap services, Bogey’s Grill restaurant and offers instruction for beginners as well as advanced golfers. The golf course has the Visage GPS System.
Hilltop Riding Stable

Housing Environmental Health Response Registry
The Housing Environmental Health Response Registry is a resource for residents to report housing-related health information and concerns. Mobilization and Deployment Program
This program provides specialized training and support to the Soldiers and Family Members during war and peacetime. Also, it provides guidance, resources and training for Family Readiness Group (FRG) members and Commanders. Services are targeted to address pre-deployment, deployments, re-deployments or reunions, as well as establishing and re-energizing FRGs. Army Reserve and National Guard units are given assistance and support when mobilizing and demobilizing. Operation REAL materials and other resources are widely utilized. Activates the Emergency Family Assistance Center during contingency operations (severe weather, mass casualty, etc).

Outdoor Recreation (Tactical Advantage Sportsman’s’ Complex)
The Tactical Advantage Sportsman’s Complex (TASC) is home to the Fort Gordon Outdoor Recreation program, located just across from Range 14. TASC has an interior of red tidewater cypress wood, including two tree trunks serving as girders, and features a fireplace in the lodge area and a deck area made of fieldstone. Also, it has an arms room where all firearms to be checked out are securely stored. Fort Gordon Outdoor Recreation offers an array of services such as hunting and fishing licenses, outdoor equipment rental, bicycles, fishing boats, archery equipment and firearms for target practice. TASC is a fantastic meeting place for camaraderie among sportsmen.

Provost Marshal/Police Administrative Services
The Police Admin section of the Directorate of Emergency Services supports both military and civilian through a variety of services which include: in/out processing of Soldier PCSing/ETSing, local law enforcement checks for Office of Personnel Management and contract investigations, Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests vetted through the installation FOIA coordinator and information customer service on Military Police policies and procedure.
R2 Performance Center -Comprehensive Soldier Family and Fitness (CSF2)
As a key part of the Ready and Resilient Campaign, CSF2 is a long-term strategy that better prepares the Army community – Service Members, Family Members, and Army Civilians – to not only survive, but also thrive at a cognitive and behavioral level in the face of protracted warfare and the everyday challenges of Army life. The CSF2 Training Center’s mission is to execute the CSF2 program at the Installation level to increase the physical and psychological health, resilience and enhanced performance of the Army community. Performance Enhancement training provides Soldiers with the specific mental and emotional skills that underlie optimal human performance when it matters most: in combat, healing after an injury, or managing work and home life.

Relocation Services
Army Community Service (ACS) operates a welcome desk where customers have complimentary computer stations, maps, general post information and other relocation assistance is available. Lending Closet: ACS Lending Closet loans basic household items for 30-day period to military personnel and their Families as they relocate into or out of the Fort Gordon area. ACS also provides information for local points of interest to newly arriving personnel. Information on other military installations is available online at Military HomeFront. Retirement Services
Retirement Service Office (RSO) provides quality service, guidance, and information on benefits and entitlements to active duty Soldiers and their Family Members preparing for retirement. The RSO assists Soldiers and spouses in making a clear and concise Survivor Benefit Plan (SBP) election prior to retirement. In addition to the above stated duties, the RSO also continues to provide service, updates, and guidance to all retirees, spouses, former spouses, and their children.

Salvation Army Corps Salvage and Rehabilitation Center (CSRC)
Substance abuse rehab program for men. It involves counseling, work therapy, religious instruction and custom rehabilitation assistance at no cost. This program is a long-term nine month residency program with 30 beds.

Emergency overnight shelter with Soup Kitchen at 1730 nightly and breakfast served. Bed numbers are given out at 1600 every night; 8 nights free per month; 6 beds reserved for Vets. Prescreening done for case management 3-6-9 program where 30-60-90 days may be approved with extended hours if meeting self-sufficiency plan.

Sexual Harassment/Assault Response and Prevention (SHARP)
Fort Gordon 24-Hour Hotline: 706-791-6297; DoD SAFE HELPLINE: 877-995-5247 The Sexual Harassment/Assault Response and Prevention (SHARP) Program provides confidential advocacy support and a broad spectrum of advocacy resources to Service Members and their Families who are exhibiting issues related to being a victim or survivor of sexual harassment and/or assault. Services are provided to those personnel assigned to the Fort Gordon community and the Gillem Enclave. The SHARP personnel ensure victims of sexual assault understand the process of reporting and receive all needed guidance and emotional support during administrative, medical, investigative, and legal procedures. Prevention education training in SHARP is available to victims, survivors, units, Family Members and the community.

The primary mission of the Snyder Dental Clinic is to provide quality and timely comprehensive dental care and maintain the readiness of the Soldiers assigned to Fort Gordon's supported units. The clinic's secondary mission is to support postgraduate dental education and training of Dental Corps officers participating in the Prosthodontic, Periodontic, and Endodontic Residency Training Programs. Soldier for Life: Transition Assistance Program
Mandatory workshops and seminars include transition overview and military occupational specialty crosswalk workshop, financial planning workshop, Department of Labor employment workshop, VA benefits briefing, individual transition plan review, and career track course. Staff evaluates clients’ needs and provide assistance with individualized transition plans. A pre-separation packet contains guidebooks which impart valuable information on transition services and benefits. This facility provides ongoing standardized job search skills training, individual assistance and counseling, workshops and seminars, and one-stop-job hunting activities. Individual counselors are available to provide personalized counseling as well as individual needs assessment. A reference library is also available for use.
State Environmental Health Laboratory
State Environmental Health Laboratory supports statewide environmental health protection monitoring by performing analyses for chemical, microbiological, and radiological testing, biomonitoring of water, wastewater, air, soil, hazardous wastes, and other environmental concerns. State environmental health laboratories are associated with that state’s public health laboratory.
State Epidemiologist
State Health Department Lead State Epidemiologist is an appointed primary state epidemiologist, responsible for the identification and response for all health threats that occur within that state. This individual is selected by each state’s primary health official (usually the state health department director), or the state board of health. A state epidemiologist is usually responsible for each state’s infectious disease epidemiology program, often along with many other state health agency programs involved in disease detection and prevention.
State Public Health Laboratory
State Health Department Laboratory conducts laboratory testing for most all analysis requirements for public health surveillance. This may include monitoring and detection testing for environmental health, food safety, infectious diseases, newborn screening, public health preparedness, radiation safety, and many other tests. State public health laboratories are part of the National Laboratory Network, and respond to novel strains of disease, natural disasters, chemical spills, foodborne outbreaks, and other public health emergencies.
Substance Use Disorder Clinical Care (SUDCC)
Substance Use Disorder Clinical Care (SUDCC), formerly ASAP Clinical, treats Service Members with substance use disorders. The providers are licensed at an independent level in counseling or social work. Each provider specializes in and also holds a certification or licensure in substance use disorders. The SUDCC falls under the Behavioral Health System of Care (BHSOC) at Dwight David Eisenhower Army Medical Center (DDEAMC) and will be moving to the hospital location in the near future. SUDCC providers perform comprehensive bio-psycho-social assessments, referrals to higher levels of care and/or other health care providers, Command Consultation and group therapy for Active Duty personnel within the Fort Gordon area. Self-referrals are encouraged. Referrals for Family Members and Retirees are coordinated through the ASAP, Employee Assistance Program at 706-791-3674.

Survivor Outreach Services (SOS)
Survivor Outreach Services serves the Survivors of our fallen Soldiers. Services include support groups, financial classes, and benefit and entitlement assistance. Quarterly Survivor Forums are held to strengthen the Casualty Assistance process. SOS assures Survivors a connection to the Army Family as long as they desire.

Programs include: intramurals, unit level, battalion level and varsity sports for both men and women.
VA Medical Center (Charlie Norwood VA Medical Center)
The Charlie Norwood VA Medical Center is a two-division Medical Center that provides tertiary care in medicine, surgery, neurology, psychiatry, rehabilitation medicine, and spinal cord injury. The Downtown Division is authorized 155 beds (58 medicine, 37 surgery, and 60 spinal cord injury). The Uptown Division, located approximately three miles away, is authorized 315 beds (68 psychiatry, 15 blind rehabilitation and 40 medical rehabilitation. In addition, a 132-bed Restorative/Nursing Home Care Unit and 60 domiciliary are located at the Uptown Division. The Charlie Norwood VA Medical Center and Eisenhower Army Medical Center at Fort Gordon entered into a Joint Venture for Shared Services, which provides for the cost-effective sharing of resources between these two federal health care facilities in the Augusta metropolitan area.

Wounded Warrior Ombudsman Program
The Wounded Warrior Ombudsmen serve as a local resource, facilitator, and problem solver for Service Members and their Families. Ombudsmen are located in the Medical Treatment Facility (MTF) and serve as a liaison between MEDCOM, the Soldier and Family member, the MTF commander, and the Warrior in Transition Unit (WTU) commander. The Ombudsman assists WTU and non-WTU Soldiers and their Families with medical related issues. The Wounded Soldier Family Hotline (WSFH) [(800) 984-8523] serves as a 24/7 resource to any beneficiary seeking assistance with a medical issue/concern including wounded, ill, and injured Soldiers, and military Caregivers. Youth and Teen Center
State-of-the-art, fully functional computer lab, a teen lounge, a middle school lounge, basketball court, a homework lab, a music room with a sound booth and a kitchen. Children ages 12 – 19, or 6th - 12th grade, of Active Duty, Families Members, and Department of Defense Civilians. Contractors and Retirees are eligible for some events.
