Supports assignment authorities when they are reassigning service members who have handicapped adult or minor family members.

Family Advocacy Program (FAP)

Manager coordinates services for family members experiencing domestic conflict (child and/or spouse abuse and sexual assault). The FAP Manager provides education and information to the military and civilian community through speeches, handout material, and workshops.

Financial Readiness

The budget and counseling service has been developed to assist individuals undergoing financial problems to develop a plan for spending that will assist in resolving these problems. Consumer assistance is offered in cases involving conflict with local businesses.

Lending Closet

Equipped with dishes, pots, pans, other kitchen items, playpens, high chairs, futons, pillows, and linens. These items, except for futons and vacuum cleaners, are lent on a 30-day basis.

Mobilization and Deployment Program

Assist Soldiers and their Families when the service member is deployed.

New Parent Support Program

Provides play mornings at ChildWise playhouse, parenting instruction, and baby bundles.

Relocation Assistance Program

This program focuses on ensuring support and assistance is available for inbound and outbound soldiers and family members.

Sexual Assault Hotline

Oversees the Redstone Arsenal Sexual Harassment and Assault Program to include training and victim advocacy response services to the local community. This includes non-clinical counseling and care to victims.

Survivor Outreach Services

Provides support and outreach to Gold Star Families, coordinates support groups and maintains a roster of Families in the area. A Gold Star family had an active duty service member who died or was killed while on active duty status.

Local Air Quality Information

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has a tool to communicate the status of local air quality to the public—the Air Quality Index (AQI). The AQI is derived from real-time air pollution measurements taken at monitoring stations throughout the United States. The AQI has three components: a color, a score and a health message recommending protective action based on the level of air pollution.
