Psychology and Psychiatric Services - US Naval Hospital
The Mental Health Department offers both outpatient and inpatient services which provide crisis intervention, mental health evaluations, various short-term therapies, group treatment, medication management, and psychological testing. This department works closely with the Substance Abuse Rehabilitation Department, Case Management Department, Family Advocacy, mental health counseling services at the Personal Services Center, and Educational and Developmental Intervention Services. Entry into this clinic is by provider referral and patient self-referral. After hours and weekends, emergency assistance is provided through the Emergency Department. Initial and emergent evaluation are available for all beneficiaries, but a shortage of providers makes it necessary to limit treatment services for non-active duty personnel to a space-available basis.
