The Early Intervention Services component focuses on identification, evaluation and interventions for infants and toddlers (0-3 years of age) with developmental delays and special needs. This component is a multidisciplinary team consisting of an early childhood special educator, occupational therapist, and speech-language pathologist. EDIS also assists DoDEA special education program with related services (RS) providing school based occupational therapy and physical therapy support to students 3-21 years old.

Emergency notification from CONUS to OCONUS and via deployment theater

Emergency placement care (EPC) is a voluntary or court mandated service providing temporary 24-hour care in an EPC provider’s home for children who cannot be cared for by their natural family or legal guardian. The program is designed to provide short-term care, generally not to exceed 90 days, for Families in crisis until the situation warranting the placement is resolved or long-term care or placement can be arranged. Emergency Placement Care is comparable to civilian foster care in the United States.

The Exceptional Family Member Program is a mandatory enrollment program that works with other military and civilian agencies to provide comprehensive and coordinated community support, housing, educational, medical and personnel services to families with special needs. Provides comprehensive support to Families with special needs. EFMP is the garrison's primary resource for Families seeking assistance in locating services on and around the installation. The ACS EFMP is responsible for helping Families identify and resolve problems impacting individuals with special needs. The Wiesbaden Army Health Clinic (WAHC) EFMP coordinator assists Families in the screening, enrollment, and updating processes of the program.

The Family Advocacy Program provides education, intervention and assistance to prevent Family violence and to support strong, self-reliant Families and communities. The Housing Environmental Health Response Registry is a resource for residents to report housing-related health information and concerns. Residents will be invited to enroll in the registry and initiate an exchange with public health professionals. Registry participants will receive information on in-home environmental health, assistance in seeking medical care, and an opportunity to share concerns with Army leadership.
