American Red Cross - Emergency Communications
The American Red Cross Hero Care Center is available 7 days a week, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, with two options for requesting assistance, online and by phone. To speak to a Red Cross Emergency Communications Specialist call 1-877-272-7337.

Army Substance Abuse Program (ASAP)
Provides military readiness and enhance personal resilience of all members of the USAG Bavaria military community by providing forensic drug testing, employee assistance program, substance abuse & suicide prevention and treatment programs.

Bavaria Community and Spouses' Club ("BCSC")
The Bavaria Community and Spouses' Club (BCSC) has been an active spouses club since 1956. BCSC provides its members with the opportunity to participate in social, cultural, and creative activities, and to support worthwhile service and community activities. BCSC is committed to operating the Rose Barracks and Tower Barracks Thrift Shops in a manner that offers affordable items to our Soldiers, their families and our civilians. In addition, the BCSC uses the Thrift Shop Funds to assist our Soldiers, their families and civilians with Educational Scholarships and Community Outreach grants.

Provides worldwide chain of commissaries providing groceries to military personnel, retirees and their families in a safe and secure shopping environment. Voluntary education services including college and career counseling, resources for college education funding options, Army Personnel Testing, National Testing, Computer labs, On-post colleges/universities with face-to-face and online class options.
Domestic Violence Counseling
Provides prevention education, support, and confidential domestic violence counseling services.
EFMP - Enrollment
The EFMP is a comprehensive, coordinated, multi-agency program that provides community support, housing, medical, educational, and personnel services to military Families with an exceptional family member.
Emergency Response
Provides Emergency Services in any case of fire, accident, medical, natural or man-made disaster. We also provide non-emergency technical services when special equipment or know-how of the fire service is needed.
Employment Readiness Program (ERP)
The Employment Readiness Program provides information and referral services on employment, education, training, transition, and volunteer opportunities to give Family members the competitive edge needed to secure meaningful employment.:
Family Advocacy Program
The Family Advocacy Program is responsible for the prevention of and response to child abuse and neglect and domestic abuse/intimate partner violence in military families. It works with civilian social service agencies, military and civilian medical providers, law enforcement, legal personnel, chaplains, and child and youth programs to provide a coordinated community response. The goal of the program is to promote the prevention, early identification, reporting and treatment of child and spouse abuse.
Family Advocacy Program - Clinical
To provide counseling for personal and family issues. Includes clinical treatment for all family members affected by domestic violence or child abuse
Family and MWR
Integrates and delivers Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation programs and services enabling readiness and resilience for a globally-responsive Army.
Financial Services and Counseling
Financial Readiness provides no-cost, one-on-one financial counseling and counseling and classes to individuals and units on budgeting, money management, debt reduction and provides tips on savings and retirement planning etc.
First Aid/CPR Training
The class prepares participants on how to, recognize and care for a variety of First Aid, breathing and cardiac emergencies involving adults. Participants are trained to respond to real-world emergencies.

Provides health care services.
Home Safety
Provides information on summer and fall-winter safety, authorized swimming areas, family safety engagement kit, Army safety and air conditioning.
Housing - On-Post
Provides family housing information. Housing is located at two installations in the Bavaria area: Tower Barracks/Netzaberg in Grafenwoehr and Rose Barracks in Vilseck.
Housing Environmental Health Response Registry
The Housing Environmental Health Response Registry is a resource for residents to report housing-related health information and concerns. Residents will be invited to enroll in the registry and initiate an exchange with public health professionals. Registry participants will receive information on in-home environmental health, assistance in seeking medical care, and an opportunity to share concerns with Army leadership.

ID Card Services
Provides new or replacement identification cards (CAC) to all qualified personnel.
Legal Services
Provides a broad range of services, including legal assistance, claims for damaged or destroyed household goods and automobiles and electronic filing of tax returns.
Lending Closet
Provides loaner items for your home and yard such as furniture, lawn movers, and dishes.

Military Caregiver Resource Directory
Designed to help empower military caregivers with information about national-level resources and programs specifically for them. Topics include: helplines, advocacy and benefit information, career transitions and employment, military caregiver support, children’s needs, education and training, financial support, rest and relaxation, and others.
Military Caregiver Virtual Forum
Military caregivers may join their peers virtually in a Department of Defense online forum every month to discuss topics that they choose and network with others who are experiencing similar challenges. Caregivers learn skills to overcome challenges and share resources.
Motorcycle Safety
Provides information on reflective apparel, motorcycle safety, vehicle requirements and traffic codes.
National Resource Directory
The National Resource Directory is one of the largest online collections of government and non-government resources specifically designed for Veterans, service members, their families and caregivers. With a unique collection of more than 16,000 organized and vetted resources, the directory provides information covering a variety of topics, including benefits and compensation, education, homeless assistance, housing and other services.

Passports & SOFA
Provides information on obtaining passports and Reports of Birth Abroad.
Pets
Provides information on relocating with pets including veterinary treatment facilities and services. All pets must be registered with the VTF upon arrival or within 14 days of adoption. In-processing: Pets must be registered for SMs to complete in-processing. This can be done via email, in-processing brief, or in person. Out-processing: All outstanding balances must be paid and a health certificate (or health certificate appointment), change of ownership form or command responsibility memo must be provided prior to clearing.
Power of Attorney and Notary Services
Provides services for General and Special Powers of Attorney and notary services.
Religious Support Office
The Chaplain's office provides religious support to Soldiers, authorized civilians and their families across the Tower Barracks, Rose Barracks, Hohenfels and Garmisch communities. It advises the commander and staff on religious support operations: accommodation of religious practices in accordance with Title X requirements; religious factors that impact operations; ethical leadership, values, and morals; and morale as affected by religion.

Relocation Readiness provides valuable information to Military members, Civilians, and Families relocating to the USAG Bavaria Community.
Resilience Training - Ready and Resilient (R2) Performance Center
Resilience is the “mental, emotional, and behavioral ability to face and cope with adversity, adapt to change, and recover, learn and grow from setbacks." R2 Performance Centers provide resilience skills that build self-awareness, self-regulation, optimistic and adaptive thinking, character strengths, and stronger relationships, thereby contributing to personal readiness.

Provides information on retirement service progams and helpful links such as military records, eBenefits and Office of Personnel Management Retirement Services.
School Liaison Officer (SLO)
Assist families with school transfers and help "leveling the playing field" for military children and youth through direct family interaction and through "paving the way" with local schools.
Self-Help Store
The Self-Help Program is designed to use available manpower resources more effectively by encouraging troop units and government housing occupants to conserve utilities, to follow good housekeeping practices, and to perform simple maintenance and repair work (within their capabilities) to supplement the maintenance and repair efforts. No electrical work is authorized except as specified below, i.e. replacing light bulbs, fluorescent tubes, fuses and user preventive maintenance of appliances and kitchen equipment

Substance Use Disorder Clinical Care
Designed to provide behavioral health service to those with substance misuse issues. Provides counseling and educational services.
Suicide Prevention Awareness Program
Provides suicide prevention classes to all personnel. Training includes ASIST for caregivers and gate keepers and suicide awareness classes for the general population of Soldiers and civilians.
Suicide Prevention Awareness Program
Provides policies, training, data collection and analysis, and strategic communications designed to minimize suicide behavior; thereby preserving mission effectiveness through individual readiness and resilience for Soldiers, Army Civilians and Family members. This is not a crisis center and does not provide counseling services.
Traffic Safety - Winter Driving
Provides information regarding winter driving safety, winter tire rules, winter driving talking points. Also provides winter driving saftey videos.
Trash and Recycling
Provides management of the Separate or Recycle Trash (SORT) program and ensures compliance with host-nation laws regulating household waste.
Travel Office (SATO)
Provides assistance in booking travel trips both in the US and abroad.
U.S. Postal Services
The official mail distribution center for units within the community to send and receive mail and parcels.
USAG Bavaria Telephone Directory
Provides a listing of emergency and quick reference numbers. Also provides information on how to dial inside and outside of Germany.
Value Added Tax (VAT)
Provides a way to avoid paying tax for personal purchases. Germany imposes a Value-Added Tax (VAT) of either 19% or a reduced rate of 7% on most items/services purchased. This tax is similar to a sales tax in the U.S. but it is generally already added into the price. That means the sticker price already includes either the 19% or 7% VAT. The full rate of 19% is charged on most items/service. The reduced rate of 7% is charged on basic food staple items (milk, flour, eggs, etc), some magazines, books, hotel stays, etc.

To provide guidance and assist in the process of safety inspections and vehicle registration of vehicles brought from the U.S. or purchased locally.
Voting Assistance Program
Ensures Service Members, their eligible Family Members and overseas citizens are aware of their right to vote and have the tools and resources to successfully do so - from anywhere in the world.
Warrior Zone - Hohenfels
Provides a modern multi-purpose entertainment center for Soldiers to socialize, relax, play video games, and card games. Troops gather to watch sporting events on large, high-definition, flat-screen TVs, while eating, gaming and mingling.

Winter Tire Rules
Provides information in regards to the German federal law that specifically mandates the use of winter tires when conditions are icy.
Work Safety
Provides information on employee safety brief, job hazard analysis guide, accident notification, Army safety, and safety inspections.
Wounded Warrior Ombudsman Program
The Wounded Warrior Ombudsmen serve as a local resource, facilitator, and problem solver for Service Members and their Families. Ombudsmen are located in the Medical Treatment Facility (MTF) and serve as a liaison between MEDCOM, the Soldier and Family member, the MTF commander, and the Warrior in Transition Unit (WTU) commander. The Ombudsman assists WTU and non-WTU Soldiers and their Families with medical related issues. The Wounded Soldier Family Hotline (WSFH) [(800) 984-8523] serves as a 24/7 resource to any beneficiary seeking assistance with a medical issue/concern including wounded, ill, and injured Soldiers, and military Caregivers. Whether you have questions about the Integrated Disability Evaluation System (IDES) process, the VA Caregiver Program, or benefits, the WSFH and Ombudsmen are standing by to assist.
