Air Quality Index
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has a tool to communicate the status of local air quality to the public—the Air Quality Index (AQI). The AQI is derived from real-time air pollution measurements taken at monitoring stations throughout the United States. The AQI has three components: a color, a score and a health message recommending protective action based on the level of air pollution.
Alcohol and Substance Abuse
Provides quality, comprehensive substance abuse treatment. Provides outpatient services to address alcohol or substance abuse to active duty, military retirees, and civilian population at APG.
Annual Drinking Water Quality Report APG North
The Consumer Confidence Report (CCR) is an annual drinking water quality report prepared by the organization that provides drinking water to community water systems. The US EPA requires that water purveyors for community water systems to provide a CCR to their customers by July 1st every year. Information contained in the CCR includes the source of drinking water, applicable water quality requirements, and results of water system monitoring over the previous year.

Army Wellness Center
The Army Wellness Center takes a holistic approach in providing primary prevention programs in order to promote a healthy lifestyle and overall well-being to active duty and their dependents, retirees, and civilians. The AWC has six core areas of focus including: health assessment, physical fitness, nutrition education, stress management, general wellness education, and tobacco education. The health educators provide coaching in these areas through classes, individual testing appointments, and community outreach.
Bowling
A 12 lane facility that provides bowling services for bowling leagues, tournaments, large parties.
Child Care (In House)
Provides a nurturing environment in the warmth and comfort of a family setting. These homes offer convenient, affordable quality care for children four 4 weeks to 12 years of age in a family-style setting. This program offers full-time, part-time, hourly, extended hours care, mainstreamed special needs care, long-term care and physical training (PT) care. Family Child Care certified homes are located in APG housing and off post in Harford County (Aberdeen, Edgewood, Havre de Grace, Bel Air, Abingdon).
Childcare (North)
The School Age Care (SAC) program provides before- and after-school care for school-age children in first through fifth grade with enriched, age-appropriate, child-centered activities.
Childcare (South)
The School Age Care (SAC) program provides before- and after-school care for school-age children in first through fifth grade with enriched, age-appropriate, child-centered activities.
Civilian Processing
Provides assistance for specific civilian and military in-processing procedures at Aberdeen. To ensure we recruit and retain a diverse workforce of the highest quality while providing our customers with efficient merit based service in support of our soldiers.
Counseling
Provides and offers a variety of counseling, crisis intervention and referral services are available to the entire APG Community. Treatment is provided through a multidisciplinary team approach consisting of supervised behavioral health paraprofessionals, clinical social workers, and psychologists. Additionally, psychiatric treatment is provided via Video Tele-Conferencing.
Dental Clinic (North)
Dental Clinic provides annual dental examinations, cleanings, emergency and routine care for active duty Soldiers ONLY.
Deployment Support
Provides assistance to Commanders and assigned members and their Family members in maintaining individual readiness throughout the Deployment Cycle Support (DCS) Process. The DCS provides a means to identify individuals/Family members who may need assistance with the challenges regarding deployments. Training includes: Pre and Post deployment, Post-Deployment Resilience Training for Spouses/Couples. Assist Commanders organize and train Family Readiness Group (FRG) members utilizing Operation R.E.A.D.Y materials.
Domestic Violence and Abuse
Provides victims of domestic violence and sexual assault with a variety of services and support designed to enhance victim safety and maximize autonomy. These services include: Crisis Intervention, Options Counseling, Safety Planning, Legal Advocacy, Court Accompaniment, Emergency Shelter Placement, Emergency Transportation, Relocation Assistance, Emotional and Command Support.
Drug Disposal
Most unused and unneeded pharmaceuticals can be disposed in special drop boxes located at the pharmacy. This removes potentially harmful medications from the home and provides environmentally safe disposal. Contact the Pharmacy for any special concerns.
Education Center
Provides Education services and supports for Soldiers, military families and the APG Community. Services include Tuition Assistance and Credentialing Assistance for Active duty Soldiers, information about the GI Bill, Scholarships and financial aid, as well as on-post classes with resident colleges. Additionally, the Education Center offers Army Personnel Testing for the DLPT, DLAB and AFCT.
Emergency Relief Fund
Provides financial assistance during valid emergencies that are unforeseen and require immediate attention. Assistance is provided as an interest free loan. Under extreme circumstances, assistance may be given as a grant. Emergencies must have originated from other than the Soldier's own actions. Food vouchers are also available to families in need.
Employee Assistance Services
Providing confidential evaluations, counseling assistance and referral services for all Department of the Army civilian employees and their family members, retirees, and military family members , the Employee Assistance Program connects employees with essential civilian services which includes counseling, support groups, financial counselors, and legal assistance.
Employment Assistance Program
Assist Family members who are relocating by providing information and other supportive services necessary to minimize the employment problems associated with transfer and relocating. This program provides resume writing assistance, computer lab access, and private job sector job banks
Equal Employment Opportunity
To ensure managers/supervisors and employees receive appropriate training on EEO related matters. Informs and maintains leadership understanding of compliance status on EEO programs. Provides the highest quality of advice on EEO programs assessments, workforce analysis, and briefings; Ability to assess EEO complaints are processed within the guidelines set forth in AR-690-600.
Family Counseling
Individual, group and family therapy for teens 13-18 who have issues related to alcohol or drug use. Provide prevention services for issues like anger, stress, self-esteem issues and grief and loss.
Family Team Building
A volunteer-led organization with a central tenet provides training and knowledge to spouses and family members. Level 1,2,3 and Instructor Trainings are offered
Financial Services
To provide personal financial management services which includes budget counseling, debt liquidation plans, consumer education, savings, and credit card debt. Counseling is provided on an individual and confidential basis
Grief and Lost Support
This program provides lifetime support to families of fallen soldiers. This programs provides resources to support groups, financial counseling, and grief counseling on/off post
Gym (North)
Provides fitness classes, intramural sports, cardiovascular equipment, free and circuit weights, basketball courts, volleyball, racquetball, as well as locker and shower facilities

Provides comprehensive information on Military Housing, Unaccompanied Housing and Community Housing.
Housing
This is the Army's official website for Soldiers and Families to look for information regarding Army Family Housing (Privatized & Government Owned), Unaccompanied Housing (UH), or Off-Post Housing. It includes detailed reference information and quick links for Army installations all over the world. Inside you will find floorplans and housing policies that pertain to your next duty station.
Housing Environmental Health Response Registry
The Housing Environmental Health Response Registry is a resource for residents to report housing-related health information and concerns. Residents will be invited to enroll in the registry and initiate an exchange with public health professionals. Registry participants will receive information on in-home environmental health, assistance in seeking medical care, and an opportunity to share concerns with Army leadership.
Infectious Disease Epidemiologist
State Health Department Infectious Disease Epidemiology Program. The contact information provided is for the chief infectious disease epidemiologist in that program. Within these programs, each state conducts disease surveillance, collects information on reportable diseases from all healthcare providers and hospitals, and from local and regional health departments. Each state’s infectious disease epidemiology program investigates disease outbreaks, analyzes and distributes information on the incidence and prevalence of infectious diseases, health events, zoonotic and vector-borne diseases and vaccine-preventable diseases. States provide considerable disease and state-specific information on their state health agency’s website and search engine.

Kirk Army Medical Health Clinic
Provides access to quality and cost-effective primary care for patients while maintaining a state of readiness for mobilization. Ambulatory care clinic. DOES NOT HAVE AN EMERGECY ROOM. In an emergency, dial 911.
Laboratory
A full range of clinical and anatomical pathology and laboratory services including Phlebotomy, Chemistry, Hematology, Urinalysis, Serology and Waive Testing services.
Library
Provides library services such as fiction / non-fiction books, magazines, children's books, DVD videos, interlibrary loans. Provides customers computer access with CAC readers and printing capabilities
Logistics
Provides mission focused operational logistical support to Aberdeen Proving Ground supported organizations in the areas of logistical plans and operations, maintenance, supply and services, and transportation.
Military Caregiver Resource Directory
Designed to help empower military caregivers with information about national-level resources and programs specifically for them. Topics include: helplines, advocacy and benefit information, career transitions and employment, military caregiver support, children’s needs, education and training, financial support, rest and relaxation, and others.
Military Caregiver Virtual Forum
Military caregivers may join their peers virtually in a Department of Defense online forum every month to discuss topics that they choose and network with others who are experiencing similar challenges. Caregivers learn skills to overcome challenges and share resources.

Military Processing

National Resource Directory
The National Resource Directory is one of the largest online collections of government and non-government resources specifically designed for Veterans, service members, their families and caregivers. With a unique collection of more than 16,000 organized and vetted resources, the directory provides information covering a variety of topics, including benefits and compensation, education, homeless assistance, housing and other services.

Assesses the health and safety of the military and civilian workforce of Aberdeen Proving Ground. Promotes the health and safety of the Aberdeen Proving Ground workforce by reducing risk of occupational illness or injury.

Radiology Clinic
Provide diagnostic X Ray services. All x-rays are made at the request of an Kirk Army Medical Health Clinic provider.

Safety
To educate, promote, and enhance the safety, health, and welfare of personnel; manage and develop safety and occupational health policy, procedures, standards, and objectives for implementation of the Army Safety and Occupational Health Program within the Garrison and the installation as a whole.
Sexual Assault and Harassment
The APG SHARP Resource Center provides services to victims of sexual assault and harassment. Services are available to both military and civilian personnel. The center provides support from a Judge Advocate General, Criminal Investigations Command agent, medical personnel, Victim Advocate, Sexual Assault Response Coordinator, and program manager to assist with cases.
Single Soldiers
The Better Opportunities for Single Soldiers (BOSS) program supports the overall quality of single soldiers' lives. BOSS identifies real quality of life (QOL) issues and concerns by recommending improvements through the installation chain of command. BOSS also encourages and assists single soldiers in identifying and planning for recreational and leisure activities.
Special Needs Placement for Youth
To ensure proper program placement and to meet the needs of your child, a Special Needs Accommodation Process (SNAP) Team will meet with the parent and review the child’s relevant medical history prior to the child’s placement. In the event a SNAP determines accommodations in our CYSS program is not appropriate, staff will work with the parent to assist with alternative care.
Special Needs Relocation Assistance
To assist Active Duty personnel with family members who have physical, emotional, developmental, or intellectual needs who require special treatment, therapy, education, training, and equipment or building modifications.
Sponsorship
To provide personnel service support. This program assist in counseling incoming soldiers and/or civilian employees about sponsorship program entitlements, and information to gaining battalion or activity of new members
State Epidemiologist
State Health Department Lead State Epidemiologist is an appointed primary state epidemiologist, responsible for the identification and response for all health threats that occur within that state. This individual is selected by each state’s primary health official (usually the state health department director), or the state board of health. A state epidemiologist is usually responsible for each state’s infectious disease epidemiology program, often along with many other state health agency programs involved in disease detection and prevention.
State Public Health Laboratory
State Health Department Laboratory conducts laboratory testing for most all analysis requirements for public health surveillance. This may include monitoring and detection testing for environmental health, food safety, infectious diseases, newborn screening, public health preparedness, radiation safety, and many other tests. All state public health laboratories are part of the National Laboratory Network, and respond to novel strains of disease, natural disasters, chemical spills, foodborne outbreaks, and other public health emergencies.

Online guide offering insights and tips tailored to assist veterans by providing information on the benefits of non-traditional postsecondary education and other important details about vocational and apprenticeship programs, such as eligibility, costs, and transitioning to working civilian.
Volunteer Corps
Offers referral and support to volunteers at APG. Volunteers work along with program managers in order to assist on special projects or where assistance is needed.

A summer program provides a variety of activities and field trips. Fees are based on Total Family Income (TFI) and billing may occur either monthly or semi-monthly (1st and 15th of the month). The Middle School/Teen program is free after 1 p.m. Fees may be assessed for special events and field trips.

Provides out-of-school opportunities for 6-18 year old children and youth to participate in cutting-edge art, fitness, life skills and adventure activities. The HIRED! Apprenticeship program is a workforce preparation program that allows youth (15-18) to explore various Family and Morale Welfare and Recreation (FMWR) placement sites
