Alcohol Abuse

Assessment and treatment services to include education, rehabilitation team, out-patient and in-patient treatment using individual and group sessions to address the spectrum of substance concerns.

Army Wellness Center

The Army Wellness Center Program helps Soldiers and retirees, their families, and Army Civilians build and sustain good health. It empowers them to set their own health goals and achieve them. It addresses lifestyle change in areas that affect both short and long term health, engaging people in their "lifespace"-the places where they live, work, relax and rest.

Army Wellness Center (AWC)

Army Wellness Centers provide integrated and standardized primary prevention programs and services that promote enhanced and sustained healthy lifestyles to improve the overall well-being of Service Members, their Families, Civilians, and Retirees. The Army Wellness Center (AWC) programs help build and sustain good health. AWC Health Educators and services empower individuals to set their own health goals and achieve them. AWC programs and services address lifestyle change in areas that affect both short- and long-term health, engaging people in their “life space”—the places where they live, work, relax and rest.

Casualty Assistance, Funeral honors, survivor benefits

Assist families when there is a death of a Soldier, retiree, or veteran with Military Funeral Honors and other benefits and entitlements

Child Care

CYSS offers several child development centers providing a safe caring, environment that fosters social, emotional, physical and creative development. All centers are fully accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children.

Community Involvement

Process that invites community members to be agents of change by improving programs and services, changing policies/regulations and amending laws.

Continuing Education

Provides assistance to Soldiers and their adult Family Members in developing long and short term educational/professional plans for personal development and growth. Professional career and educational counseling services are available. Other services offered are: Testing Center and the Learning Center which houses the Basic Skills Education Program/ Functional Academic Skills Program.

The American Red Cross exists to provide compassionate care to those in need through five key service areas: Disaster Relief, Support to Military Families, Lifesaving Blood, Health and Safety Services and International Services.

Provides Fort Benning and designated tenant activities personnel administration services and support through recruitment strategies to seek and hire the best candidates available:

Employment Assistance

Offers Army Family Members career and job search training, employment and educational information, information on volunteer opportunities, internet job search and assistance in resume writing and goal setting.

Employment Issue Resolution, Employment Counseling

A job based program dedicated to preventing and resolving employee, supervisor, military retirees, and Family Members' problems that can negatively impact on job performance or behavior. The Employee Assistance Program provides free confidential services, to include; screening, assessment, and short-term counseling and referral services as needed.

Family Counseling, Couples Counseling

Provides solution oriented consultations to individuals, couples, Families, and groups.

Financial Assistance, Home Buying, Budgeting, Car Buying, Financial Counseling, Credit Counseling

Offers education, counseling and support services to assist Soldiers and their Family Members with personal financial affairs.

Financial Assistance/Loans

Provides no interest loans and (in limited cases) grants to assist with emergency situations. It also provides emergency food vouchers when AER assistance for food is not possible or beneficial. Provides scholarships for spouses of active duty Soldiers and for dependent children of active duty, retired, and deceased Soldiers

Food Vouchers for infants, children, and pregnant mothers and mothers that breast feed.

Food Bank

Provides food bank assistance to families in need through unit Chaplain referrals.

Fort Benning Veterinary Center

The Fort Benning Veterinary Center provides registration, preventative wellness care and sick call care to pets of military ID card holders of all branches, active duty or retired only. All pets housed on post or brought on post must be registered at the clinic. Appointments are not required for registration, nor do you need to bring your pet to the clinic to do so. Please bring all records to the clinic for registration.

Georgia Pre-K Preschool

The Georgia Pre-K Program is a lottery funded educational program for Georgia's four year old to prepare children for Kindergarten. For the 2021-2022 school year, Fort Benning is fortunate enough to have Georgia Pre-K classrooms located within the following CYS facilities: 1st Division CDC, McGraw CDC, and Santé Fe CDC. Georgia Pre-K is a hugely popular program and space is limited so a lottery system was established, CYS received 88 slots for this school year. The lottery (drawing) took place May 13, 2021 – we received 138 submissions and the 88 slots were filled, the rest went on the waitlist in case a slot will open. Contact Parent Central to see if any new slots have opened up.

Housing Environmental Health Response Registry

The Housing Environmental Health Response Registry is a resource for residents to report housing-related health information and concerns. Residents will be invited to enroll in the registry and initiate an exchange with public health professionals. Registry participants will receive information on in-home environmental health, assistance in seeking medical care, and an opportunity to share concerns with Army leadership.

Inspector General

Assists military personnel, Family Members and DoD Civilians to resolve problems that cannot be solved by the chain of command or other agencies.

Leader Development Course

The LDC Course address the 3 critical targets, during the 5-Day course targeting direct level leaders to become force multipliers of performance enhancing mental skills training. In concerted efforts across multiple R2 Training Centers, the Leader Development Course (LDC) is now executed alongside existing initiatives and in support of the R2 vision to increase the physical and psychological health, resilience and enhanced performance of Soldiers, Families and Army Civilians.

Legal Services, wills, notary services, Family Law and consumer information.

Marriage Counseling, Spouse Abuse Treatment, Child Abuse Treatment, Family Counseling, Group Counseling

There are two separate courses of treatment: spouse abuse and child abuse. The course of treatment for both includes individual, marital, family and group counseling. The child abuse program is integrated with various support services on and off post, to include collaboration with the local Department of Family and Children Services. Marriage counseling is also offered for non-violent incidents.

Master Resilience Training (MRT)

The MRT Course is dynamic and interactive, with large and small group training. Students will be taught resilience skills, how to apply them and how to instill these skills in others. They will complete this course with a deeper sense of self-awareness and optimism. As a Soldier, you will also gain the ability to recognize and capitalize on your strengths and the strengths of others while being resilient in all areas of life.

Military Caregiver

The Department of Defense (DoD) provides resources and information exclusively for military caregivers who assist wounded, ill and/or injured Service members with activities of daily living. DoD’s Military Caregiver Support includes the Military Caregiver PEER (Personalized Experiences, Engagement, and Resources) Forum Initiative , the Caregiver Resource Directory, monthly Military Caregiver Virtual Forums, as well as Military Caregiver webinars, events and specialized resource

Military Caregiver Resource Directory

Designed to help empower military caregivers with information about national-level resources and programs specifically for them. Topics include: helplines, advocacy and benefit information, career transitions and employment, military caregiver support, children’s needs, education and training, financial support, rest and relaxation, and others.

Mobilization, Deployment and Stability and Support Operations

Provides training for Family Readiness Group Volunteers, Rear Detachment Commanders, and promotes and distributes information about community resources to assist Soldiers and Family Members.

National Resource Directory

The National Resource Directory is one of the largest online collections of government and non-government resources specifically designed for Veterans, service members, their families and caregivers. With a unique collection of more than 16,000 organized and vetted resources, the directory provides information covering a variety of topics, including benefits and compensation, education, homeless assistance, housing and other services.

Parenting Classes, Parent Support, Parent Education, Play Groups

Provides home visits, play groups, parenting education and support, newborn care basics, Nurturing America’s Military Families Curriculum, Scream free parenting curriculum, Child Development Education, Shaken Baby Syndrome Prevention Education, Infant Massage.

R2 Executive Resilience and Performance Course

Company level Leadership will receive training in Hunt the Good Stuff, Active Constructive Responding, ATC, Mental Skills Foundations, Goal Setting, Avoid Thinking Traps and Confirmation Bias, Energy Management, Deliberate Breathing, Operational and Institutional Resilience, Detect Icebergs, Attention Control, Put it in Perspective, Lunch, Integrating Imagery, and Implementation Plan.

Ready and Resilient (R2)

Ready and Resilient (R2) provides the foundation for individuals to build and sustain personal readiness and resilience. R2 provides training and education resources to active duty, Reserve and National Guard Soldiers, as well as Family members and Department of the Army Civilians at 32 R2 Performance Centers Army-wide. Strengthening Soldiers and enhancing personal readiness offers the greatest opportunity to increase unit cohesion and achieve positive outcomes.

Recreation for Single Soldiers, Habitat for Humanity, Single Soldiers Activities

Better Opportunities for Single Soldiers was founded in 1989 for the more than half of all US Soldiers who are single. The program welcomes all Soldiers, all ranks and ages, as well as authorized MWR patrons, including civilians. Members participate in a number of exciting activities. They also enjoy various discounts and free passes to shows and sporting events. BOSS members are well-respected in the community – on post and off – for the many hours they devote to volunteering.

Soldier For Life - Transition Assistance Program

The Soldier for Life Transition Assistance Program is a Commander’s Program and a Soldier’s responsibility. The program provides transition assistance services to eligible Soldiers with at least 180 or more continuous days of Title 10 active duty service, except for those in a training status. TAP helps all eligible transitioning Soldiers discover knowledge, skills, and resources necessary to be competitive and successful in the global workforce.

Special Needs Children, Special Needs Resources, Special Needs Support

The program helps Soldiers and Family Members with special needs receive the support and resources they need to thrive and manage stresses that may affect mission and family readiness.

Spouse Abuse, Child Abuse, Parenting, Crisis Intervention, Family Violence

Provides education and training classes about child and spouse abuse prevention, safety education for children and pre-deployment briefings for Soldiers and their Family Members. Annual classes are mandatory for all military personnel on the dynamics of child and spouse abuse, the availability of treatment services and the Army's policies regarding family violence. The Family Advocacy Program manager may provide crisis intervention to Soldiers and Family Members in emergency situations. Cases involving family violence intervention needing long-term treatment and follow-ups are referred to Family Advocacy Program Clinical.

Substance Abuse and Prevention

Alcohol and Drug Prevention training, Urinalysis Drug Testing, Unit Prevention Leader Training, Prime for Life Training, National Alcohol Screening Day and Red Ribbon Week Events, Risk Reduction Program, Suicide Prevention Training and services.
