82nd Airborne Division Museum
The 82d Airborne Division War Memorial Museum is one of the oldest and largest organizational museums in the Army system. With over 5,000 artifacts in the collection, and over one million photographs and documents in the archives, annual museum attendance exceeds 75,000. Visit the museum to learn 82d history from World War I, including SGT Alvin York, to the present. You will see the uniforms of Generals Ridgway and Gavin, equipment and weapons from Troopers of America's Guard of Honor from 1917 to the present, as well as captured foreign equipment and weapons. The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has a tool to communicate the status of local air quality to the public—the Air Quality Index (AQI). The AQI is derived from real-time air pollution measurements taken at monitoring stations throughout the United States. The AQI has three components: a color, a score and a health message recommending protective action based on the level of air pollution.

Airborne and Special Operations Museum
The Airborne and Special Operations Museum provides an educational resource for active-duty Soldiers and civilians alike. Part of the Army Museum system, the 59,000 square-foot museum houses artifacts relating to airborne and special operations units from 1940 to present. In addition to the hundreds of personal items, uniforms and weapons, displays include a C-46 "sky train" airplane suspended from the ceiling complete with a jumper in the door, an extremely rare, fully restored WWII CG-4A combat glider, two helicopters and a Sheridan Armored Reconnaissance Vehicle. The ASOM offers a specially designed film in its 235-seat Yarborough-Bank Theater. The film, "Descending from the Clouds," includes footage shot at several Army installations including Fort Bragg, and shows dramatic scenes of airborne and special operations Soldiers doing what they do best. The film is complemented by the 24-seat Pitch, Roll and Yaw Motion Simulator, which allows visitors to join airborne and special operat

Airborne Attic
The Airborne Attic provides support for Soldiers and Family members (E-4 and below) at Fort Bragg with furniture, household goods and baby items/clothing free of charge. Soldiers E-5 and above are allowed use in emergency situations with prior approval from the Relocation Readiness Manager.
The Airborne Attic operates completely from donations. Clean, in good usable condition items are generously donated to the Attic from our Soldiers, Family members, businesses, organizations and the local community. These items are inventoried and organized for distribution directly to Soldiers and Family members in need of assistance.
The Airborne Attic schedules pick-ups of large item donations the first Thursday of every month, both on and off post. Call us to schedule your large item donation pick-ups.

Army Emergency Relief
Army Emergency Relief (AER) is a private nonprofit organization incorporated in 1942 by the Secretary of War and the Army Chief of Staff. The mission of AER is to provide emergency financial assistance to Soldiers and their Families.
New policy: All ranks are now allowed to sign their own AER Form 700 application. This policy change allows E4 and below the opportunity to come to AER and process an application without Command signature for approval. Set stipulations apply.

Breast Health Clinic, Womack Army Medical Center
Anatomy: The breast is covered with skin and it protects the lobules that produce the milk. The duct that carry the milk come together at the nipple-areola complex. There is also supportive connective tissue and fat. The breast is attached to the pectoralis muscle and the chest wall.
Self Breast Exam (Once a Month): Monthly breast self exams are an important part of breast health. Once a month (10 days after you start your menstrual cycle if you are still getting your period or the first of the month if you are postmenopausal) you should examine your breasts.

Department of Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Services (ENT), Womack Army Medical Center
The Otolaryngology "ENT" / Head and Neck Surgery Service ("OTO/HNS") at Womack Army Medical Center is staffed by four active duty physicians who have completed an OTO/HNS residency (5 years of training after 4 years of medical school).
We evaluate all eligible beneficiaries--including active, retired and dependent--and provide care with the latest available technology. The OTO/HNS service is also actively involved in graduate medical education; family practice residents and physician assistant students rotate with the OTO/HNS providers.
In order to receive services at any of our clinics (ENT/Audiology/Speech Pathology), a referral must be placed by a Provider.

The Fort Bragg Area Community Foundation (FBACF) is a non-profit charitable organization established to provide financial assistance to benefit the Fort Bragg community. FBACF is staffed entirely by volunteers. We are military spouses, military retirees, and civilians.
FBACF considers cases where there is a genuine need that cannot be met through other Fort Bragg traditional sources (AER, Chaplains' Funds, Red Cross, etc.) and the financial crisis is not the result of personal financial mismanagement.

Installation Pest Control
The Fort Bragg Integrated Pest Management (IPM) is managed by the Contract Officer Representative in the Environmental Compliance Branch, Directorate of Public Works. All services are done through Service Order Requests through the Directorate of Public Works, 396-0321 through a contract company. Integrated pest management is a planned program, incorporating continuous monitoring, education, record-keeping, and communication to prevent pest and disease vectors from causing unacceptable damage to operations, people, property, material, or the environment. IPM uses targeted, sustainable (effective, economical, and environmentally sound) methods including education, habitat modification, biological, genetic, cultural, mechanical, physical, and regulatory control, and where necessary, the judicious use of least-hazardous pesticides. In order to mix or apply an pesticide or herbicide on the installation, a Department of Defense certification is required (AR 200-5).

"Bragg About Recycling "Fort Bragg's Qualified Recycling Program (QRP) is an award winning and federally recognized program. The goal of the program is to reclaim materials from the solid waste stream, retain revenues for reinvestment in diversion technologies to further recover recyclable materials, while minimizing the costs of solid waste disposal and sustaining our environmental future. Mobilization, Deployment, and Support Stability Operations
The Mobilization, Deployment, and Support Stability Operations (MDSSO) helps support community readiness during deployments and emergencies. Ryder Golf Course
Ryder Golf Course is a beautiful golf course set among tall Carolina Pines and rolling hills. Ryder has several water holes, which come into play. The greens are small and undulating. The fairways are tree lined and hilly. The bunkers are well positioned and at times deep. While not long in length, Ryder is very challenging for all skill levels. In 1999-2000, Ryder underwent a $1.2 million dollar renovation. A new state of the art irrigation system was installed, and the bunkers underwent a complete renovation.

Established, at Fort Bragg in 1991, the Soldier For Life: Transition Assistance Program (Soldier For Life: TAP) is an integral part of the Army personnel lifecycle. The Fisher House is a "home away from home" for families of inpatients at Womack Army Medical Center, the Fayetteville Veterans Affairs Medical Center and other area hospitals. It is designed for families of critically ill patients, but is available to accept outpatient visitors on a space available basis

Warrior Adventure Quest (WAQ)
Warrior Adventure Quest is a free team building and resiliency training for Army units. All units are now eligible for participation. WAQ is a Department of the Army initiative, by executive order (Execution Order 09-019) to provide high-adventure outdoor recreation programs as part of team building and the Army’s holistic approach to Unit Reset.

Nestled in a tranquil setting, this park offers a gently rolling landscape with grassy areas and mature leaf trees, which makes it a popular spot for families and large groups up to 1000 guests. This park provides family size picnic shelters and pavilions for larger group gatherings. Women, Infants and Children (WIC)
WIC is a special supplemental food and nutrition education program that has been operating in North Carolina since 1974. Currently serving upwards of 165,000 mothers and their children each month in North Carolina. WIC participants receive nutrition education and supplemental food to improve their diets and reduce their chances of health problems caused by poor nutrition. They are given vouchers that they redeem at participating grocery stores to obtain WIC foods. Food includes: milk, cheese, eggs, cereal, juices, dry beans/ peas, peanut butter, and certain infant formulas.

Wonderful World of Kids (WWK) School Age Center (SAC)
The mission is to expose school-age children to a wide range of age-appropriate recreational programs that will incorporate character-building concepts through activities and social interaction. School-age activities are designed to enhance positive attitudes in learning and self development; to aid children in developing proper study habits; to provide children challenging activities; to promote self esteem, citizenship, responsibility, cooperation, respect, fairness, trustworthiness, and caring.

This park provides ample parking and is accessible off of Armistead Street. Woodland Park offers many amenities such as Pavilions with BBQ grills, water and electricity supply, sand volleyball court, horseshoe pit and brand-new Americans’ With Disability Act (ADA) compliant playground area.

Wounded Warrior Ombudsman Program
The Wounded Warrior Ombudsmen serve as a local resource, facilitator, and problem solver for Service Members and their Families. Ombudsmen are located in the Medical Treatment Facility (MTF) and serve as a liaison between MEDCOM, the Soldier and Family member, the MTF commander, and the Warrior in Transition Unit (WTU) commander. The Ombudsman assists WTU and non-WTU Soldiers and their Families with medical related issues. The Wounded Soldier Family Hotline (WSFH) [(800) 984-8523] serves as a 24/7 resource to any beneficiary seeking assistance with a medical issue/concern including wounded, ill, and injured Soldiers, and military Caregivers. Whether you have questions about the Disability Evaluation System process, the VA Caregiver Program, or benefits, the WSFH and Ombudsmen are standing by to assist.
