82nd Airborne Division Museum

The 82d Airborne Division War Memorial Museum is one of the oldest and largest organizational museums in the Army system. With over 5,000 artifacts in the collection, and over one million photographs and documents in the archives, annual museum attendance exceeds 75,000. Visit the museum to learn 82d history from World War I, including SGT Alvin York, to the present. You will see the uniforms of Generals Ridgway and Gavin, equipment and weapons from Troopers of America's Guard of Honor from 1917 to the present, as well as captured foreign equipment and weapons. Air Quality Index

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has a tool to communicate the status of local air quality to the public—the Air Quality Index (AQI). The AQI is derived from real-time air pollution measurements taken at monitoring stations throughout the United States. The AQI has three components: a color, a score and a health message recommending protective action based on the level of air pollution.

Airborne and Special Operations Museum

The Airborne and Special Operations Museum provides an educational resource for active-duty Soldiers and civilians alike. Part of the Army Museum system, the 59,000 square-foot museum houses artifacts relating to airborne and special operations units from 1940 to present. In addition to the hundreds of personal items, uniforms and weapons, displays include a C-46 "sky train" airplane suspended from the ceiling complete with a jumper in the door, an extremely rare, fully restored WWII CG-4A combat glider, two helicopters and a Sheridan Armored Reconnaissance Vehicle. The ASOM offers a specially designed film in its 235-seat Yarborough-Bank Theater. The film, "Descending from the Clouds," includes footage shot at several Army installations including Fort Bragg, and shows dramatic scenes of airborne and special operations Soldiers doing what they do best. The film is complemented by the 24-seat Pitch, Roll and Yaw Motion Simulator, which allows visitors to join airborne and special operat

Airborne Attic

The Airborne Attic provides support for Soldiers and Family members (E-4 and below) at Fort Bragg with furniture, household goods and baby items/clothing free of charge. Soldiers E-5 and above are allowed use in emergency situations with prior approval from the Relocation Readiness Manager. The Airborne Attic operates completely from donations. Clean, in good usable condition items are generously donated to the Attic from our Soldiers, Family members, businesses, organizations and the local community. These items are inventoried and organized for distribution directly to Soldiers and Family members in need of assistance. The Airborne Attic schedules pick-ups of large item donations the first Thursday of every month, both on and off post. Call us to schedule your large item donation pick-ups.

Alexander Child Development Center (CDC)

Ages 6 weeks to Kindergarten Child Development Centers (CDC) are on-post child care centers that offer full-day, part-day and hourly care for children in nationally accredited environments. Active duty military personnel, reservists on active duty and DOD contractors at Fort Bragg are eligible sponsors for this program.

American Red Cross

The Fort Bragg Station is an American Red Cross Services to the Armed Forces(SAF) Station. It is one of 58 stations on US Military Installations and a member of a network of over 700 chapters across the United States. In this network there are close to 7,000 SAF volunteers and staff. The Fort Bragg American Red Cross has over 400+ volunteers and staff to meet the needs of the Fort Bragg Community.

Annual Drinking Water Quality Report

The Consumer Confidence Report (CCR) is an annual drinking water quality report prepared by an organization that provides drinking water through a community water system. The US EPA requires that water purveyors for community water systems provide a CCR to their customers by July 1st every year. Information contained in the CCR includes the source of drinking water, applicable water quality requirements, and water system monitoring results for the previous year.

Army Emergency Relief

Army Emergency Relief (AER) is a private nonprofit organization incorporated in 1942 by the Secretary of War and the Army Chief of Staff. The mission of AER is to provide emergency financial assistance to Soldiers and their Families. New policy: All ranks are now allowed to sign their own AER Form 700 application. This policy change allows E4 and below the opportunity to come to AER and process an application without Command signature for approval. Set stipulations apply.

Army Substance Abuse Program

Risk Reduction focuses on high-risk behaviors, many of which are frequently associated with alcohol or drug abuse. The Fort Bragg Blood Donor Center is part of the Womack Army Medical Center, with a commitment to providing the highest quality blood products to our service members and their families worldwide, to care for our troops who are deployed and our patients here at home. Breast Health Clinic, Womack Army Medical Center

Anatomy: The breast is covered with skin and it protects the lobules that produce the milk. The duct that carry the milk come together at the nipple-areola complex. There is also supportive connective tissue and fat. The breast is attached to the pectoralis muscle and the chest wall. Self Breast Exam (Once a Month): Monthly breast self exams are an important part of breast health. Once a month (10 days after you start your menstrual cycle if you are still getting your period or the first of the month if you are postmenopausal) you should examine your breasts.

Breastfeeding Consultation, Womack Army Medical Center

Mission Assist mother, babies, and their families in having a successful breastfeeding experience. We also feature an assortment of products and services to provide comfort and convenience to breastfeeding families. During the hospital stay mothers are provided with professional and practical assistance by our staff and Internationally Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC). After discharge families can make appointments with the lactation consultant as well.

Courses from these programs are offered on post five times a year in nine-week cycles during the daytime, evenings, lunch hours, and weekends. Centering Pregnancy

It's all about Group You will be in a group with other women whose due dates are close to yours. In each of the ten sessions, you will have a private time with your health care provider and some refreshments. Then you'll meet as a group to discuss questions, concerns, and solutions.

Free after school recreation programs. Youth Services offers free bus services for Middle School/Teen evening drop off from Tolson to Main Post Fort Bragg Neighborhoods. This only applies to youth on post in grades 6-12.

Childbirth Education, Womack Army Medical Center

The Philosophy of Childbirth Education is to empower patients through knowledge in a series of 4 (2hr each) classes in Weaver Auditorium that include education on labor, delivery, breastfeeding and newborn care. Expecting parents are provided the knowledge, skills and additional resources to successfully parent. The new skills gained provide an ability to relax in the knowledge achieved. Once empowered and relaxed expecting moms experience decreased pain sensation and increased confidence through education.

Cleland Ice Rink

This facility offers year-round skating, not only as a form of exercise, but as an affordable and constructive family leisure activity. It is the only ice rink, within a 60-mile radius that provides year-round ice skating. This facility has a comprehensive ice skating program, to include open skating, group and private lessons, figure skating clubs, parties (schools, units, and special interest groups), and private ice rental. This facility is easily accessible for both military and civilian patrons.

Commissary

The Defense Commissary Agency, which is headquartered at Fort Lee, VA., operates a worldwide chain of commissaries providing groceries to military personnel, retirees and their families in a safe and secure shopping environment. Authorized patrons purchase items at cost plus a 5-percent surcharge, which covers the costs of building new commissaries and modernizing existing ones. Shoppers save an average of more than 30 percent on their purchases compared to commercial prices – savings that amount to thousands of dollars annually when shopping regularly at a commissary. The Otolaryngology "ENT" / Head and Neck Surgery Service ("OTO/HNS") at Womack Army Medical Center is staffed by four active duty physicians who have completed an OTO/HNS residency (5 years of training after 4 years of medical school). Installation Access Control

Dedicated access control elements are typically not found in civilian LE organizations. The unique requirements and the environment of the military community require personnel in these elements to monitor physical security posture, provide physical security presence and response. The Fort Bragg Integrated Pest Management (IPM) is managed by the Contract Officer Representative in the Environmental Compliance Branch, Directorate of Public Works. All services are done through Service Order Requests through the Directorate of Public Works, 396-0321 through a contract company. Integrated pest management is a planned program, incorporating continuous monitoring, education, record-keeping, and communication to prevent pest and disease vectors from causing unacceptable damage to operations, people, property, material, or the environment. IPM uses targeted, sustainable (effective, economical, and environmentally sound) methods including education, habitat modification, biological, genetic, cultural, mechanical, physical, and regulatory control, and where necessary, the judicious use of least-hazardous pesticides. In order to mix or apply an pesticide or herbicide on the installation, a Department of Defense certification is required (AR 200-5).

"Bragg About Recycling "Fort Bragg's Qualified Recycling Program (QRP) is an award winning and federally recognized program. The goal of the program is to reclaim materials from the solid waste stream, retain revenues for reinvestment in diversion technologies to further recover recyclable materials, while minimizing the costs of solid waste disposal and sustaining our environmental future. The recycling facilities located in the DPW Compound and the Lamont Road Landfill will recycle most municipal and construction and demolition materials.

John F. Kennedy Special Warfare Museum

The John F. Kennedy Special Warfare Museum is the regimental museum for Special Forces, Military Information Support Operations and Civil Affairs units. Established in 1963, the museum collection is multifaceted, including many one of a kind items. The collection includes numerous ethnographic items acquired by teams in Vietnam, Africa and Burma. The Museum also has an extensive World War I and II propaganda poster collection. Military and Family Life Counselors (MFLCs) assist service members and their Families with circumstances occurring across the military life cycle and aims to enhance operational and Family readiness. They provide support to individuals, couples, Families and groups for a range of issues including, but not limited to: deployment stress, reintegration, relocation adjustment, separation, anger management, conflict resolution, parenting, parent/child communication, relationship/family issues, coping skills, homesickness, and grief and loss. All MFLCs, provide confidential non-medical counseling services face-to-face, on and off of military installations. All MFLCs have a master's degree or doctorate in a mental health- related field, such as social work, psychology, marriage and Family therapy or counseling, and possess a valid unrestricted counseling license or certification from a state, the District of Columbia, a U.S. commonwealth, or a U.S. territory that grants authority to provide

Mobilization, Deployment, and Support Stability Operations

The Mobilization, Deployment, and Support Stability Operations (MDSSO) helps support community readiness during deployments and emergencies. We help make sure installation programs align with unit deployment cycles, provide pre- and post-deployment support, and help unit Commanders with their Family Readiness plans and deployment support services for Service Members and their Families. We’re responsible for operating an Emergency Family Assistance Center in the case of an all-hazards event, and supporting Service Members and Families during Non-Combatant Evacuation Operations (NEO) and Repatriation. We also act as a case manager for all requests for assistance through the Army Disaster Personnel Accountability and Assessment System (ADPAAS).

The mission is to expose school-age children to a wide range of age-appropriate recreational programs that will incorporate character-building concepts through activities and social interaction. Rohde Dental Clinic

Also known as the Endodontic Residency Clinic, which is a referral based dental facility that supports the training in the two-year Advanced Education Program in Endodontic. ?Staffed by both military and civilian employees, this clinic provides training beyond the level of pre-doctoral education in endodontic. This training includes biomedical sciences (Medical College of Georgia), clinical sciences, teaching and research.

Ryder Golf Course

Ryder Golf Course is a beautiful golf course set among tall Carolina Pines and rolling hills. Ryder has several water holes, which come into play. The greens are small and undulating. The fairways are tree lined and hilly. The bunkers are well positioned and at times deep. While not long in length, Ryder is very challenging for all skill levels. In 1999-2000, Ryder underwent a $1.2 million dollar renovation. A new state of the art irrigation system was installed, and the bunkers underwent a complete renovation.

The Soldier and Family Assistance Center (SFAC) is a one-stop location built to equip and aid Wounded, Ill, and Injured Soldiers who are assigned or attached to Warrior Transition Units. SFAC services help these Soldiers make life-changing decisions as they transition back to duty or on to civilian life. Soldier for Life- Transition Assistance Program

Established, at Fort Bragg in 1991, the Soldier For Life: Transition Assistance Program (Soldier For Life: TAP) is an integral part of the Army personnel lifecycle. The Soldier For Life: TAP provides comprehensive transition services to separating and retiring Soldiers, their Family members, and Department of the Army (DA) Civilians. State Epidemiologist

State Health Department Lead State Epidemiologist is an appointed primary state epidemiologist, responsible for the identification and response for all health threats that occur within that state. This individual is selected by each state’s primary health official (usually the state health department director), or the state board of health. A state epidemiologist is usually responsible for each state’s infectious disease epidemiology program, often along with many other state health agency programs involved in disease detection and prevention.

State Public Health Laboratory

State Health Department Laboratory conducts laboratory testing for most all analysis requirements for public health surveillance. This may include monitoring and detection testing for environmental health, food safety, infectious diseases, newborn screening, public health preparedness, radiation safety, and many other tests. All state public health laboratories are part of the National Laboratory Network, and respond to novel strains of disease, natural disasters, chemical spills, foodborne outbreaks, and other public health emergencies.

Suicide Prevention Program

Mission: Improve readiness through the development and enhancement of the Army Suicide Prevention Program policies designed to minimize suicide behavior; thereby preserving mission effectiveness through individual readiness for Soldiers, their Families, and Department of the Army civilians.

Survivor Outreach Services

The mission of Survivor Outreach Services (SOS) is advocate on behalf of all Families who have suffered the loss of a Soldier and to educate the community about the Survivor Outreach Services Program. Vascular Surgery Department, Womack Army Medical Center (WAMC)

To provide patients with the highest quality of care in a timely manner by offering a comprehensive approach to Vascular Diseases through preventive services, diagnostic expertise, and minimal/ invasive surgical procedures. The Veterans Crisis Line connects Veterans in crisis and their families and friends with qualified, caring Department of Veterans Affairs responders through a confidential toll-free hotline, online chat, or text.

Veterinary Services

The Veterinary Treatment Facility (VTF) provides vaccinations, heartworm testing, Feline Leukemia testing, fecal checks, and treatment for routine communicable diseases.

Warrior Adventure Quest (WAQ)

Warrior Adventure Quest is a free team building and resiliency training for Army units. All units are now eligible for participation. Non-deploying units can attend once every two years while units who are 120 days prior to deployment or 120 days after deployment can attend during that time frame. WAQ is a Department of the Army initiative, by executive order (Execution Order 09-019) to provide high-adventure outdoor recreation programs as part of team building and the Army’s holistic approach to Unit Reset.

Warrior Transition Battalion (WTB)

Mission •Provide all Warriors in Transition the best possible care from reception through disposition, whether return to duty or separation from Service. •Provide a single Chain of Command to the Soldier and Family members throughout the care process. •Provide a knowledgeable and caring Chain of Command capable and committed to treating our soldiers and their Families with honor and respect.

Watters Family Life Center

The Family Life Chaplains and pastoral team at the Watters Family Life Center provide a variety of services to help you develop and strengthen your most important relationships in life. The Family Life Center for Counseling and Resiliency is a full-time family ministry and training center that is staffed with specially trained personnel to provide theologically based ministry to families with an emphasis on marriage and family issues. The training and counseling provided is distinctively pastoral.

Webster University (WU)

WU offers a variety of Master's programs at Pope Air Force Base and Fort Bragg. Programs include: Masters in Business Administration (MBA) and Masters in Arts (MA) in the following areas: -Information Technology Management -Human Resources Development -Human Resources -Management International Relations -Management and Leadership -Counseling -Public Administration -Procurement and Acquisitions Management -Business -Organizational Security Management

Wildlife Branch

As part of the Directorate of Public Works, Environmental Division our mission is to provide Fort Bragg, Camp Mackall and the surrounding community with safe, quality hunting and fishing opportunities, dedicated and professional fish and wildlife management, natural resources stewardship, and environmental and natural resources law enforcement.

Wilson Park

Nestled in a tranquil setting, this park offers a gently rolling landscape with grassy areas and mature leaf trees, which makes it a popular spot for families and large groups up to 1000 guests. This park provides family size picnic shelters and pavilions for larger group gatherings. The park also features a three-acre lake where visitors enjoy feeding ducks and try their luck fishing off the pier in McFadden Pond (contact the Wildlife Branch at +1 (910)396-7506 for license requirements). One of the prominent amenities is an American’s with Disabilities Act (ADA) compliant playground. It features swings accessible to kids of all abilities, slides and manipulative play areas.

The Department of Behavioral Health provides behavioral health treatment and support for all active duty and limited services for family members. The department is comprised of the Service Member Behavioral Health (SMBH) and Family Member Behavioral Health

Womack Army Medical Center (WAMC) Dental Clinic

Staffed by military, civilian and contract personnel, Located in B Building, second floor, of the Hospital, was opened in 2000. 19-chair facility serves the community with Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery support and after-hours emergency dental treatment. Also hosts the four-year Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (OMFS) Residency Program, training up to eight OMFS residency students.

Screening to identify, track, and support military family members who have special medical, developmental or educational needs.

The Women Veterans Call Center (WVCC) answers questions and responds to concerns from women Veterans, their families, and caregivers across the nation about VA services and resources. Women, Infants and Children (WIC)

WIC is a special supplemental food and nutrition education program that has been operating in North Carolina since 1974. Currently serving upwards of 165,000 mothers and their children each month in North Carolina. WIC participants receive nutrition education and supplemental food to improve their diets and reduce their chances of health problems caused by poor nutrition. They are given vouchers that they redeem at participating grocery stores to obtain WIC foods. Food includes: milk, cheese, eggs, cereal, juices, dry beans/ peas, peanut butter, and certain infant formulas.

Wonderful World of Kids (WWK) School Age Center (SAC)

The mission is to expose school-age children to a wide range of age-appropriate recreational programs that will incorporate character-building concepts through activities and social interaction. School-age activities are designed to enhance positive attitudes in learning and self development; to aid children in developing proper study habits; to provide children challenging activities; to promote self esteem, citizenship, responsibility, cooperation, respect, fairness, trustworthiness, and caring. Services offered: •Supervised recreational and developmental appropriate activities •Computer lab •Homework lab •Educational and recreational field trips •Open recreation options •Non-competitive, physical activities •Supportive, well-trained staff who enjoy working with children •Volunteer community service •Breakfast before school, snack after school, and lunch on non-school days •Transportation to and from special activities and instructional programs during the school year

Woodland Park

This multi-use area offers much for the nature lover and outdoor enthusiast. Woodland Park is the largest on Pope Army Air Field, perfect for units, squadrons, FRG functions of 1500+ guests. This park provides ample parking and is accessible off of Armistead Street. Woodland Park offers many amenities such as Pavilions with BBQ grills, water and electricity supply, sand volleyball court, horseshoe pit and brand-new Americans’ With Disability Act (ADA) compliant playground area.

Wounded Warrior Ombudsman Program

The Wounded Warrior Ombudsmen serve as a local resource, facilitator, and problem solver for Service Members and their Families. Ombudsmen are located in the Medical Treatment Facility (MTF) and serve as a liaison between MEDCOM, the Soldier and Family member, the MTF commander, and the Warrior in Transition Unit (WTU) commander. The Ombudsman assists WTU and non-WTU Soldiers and their Families with medical related issues. The Wounded Soldier Family Hotline (WSFH) [(800) 984-8523] serves as a 24/7 resource to any beneficiary seeking assistance with a medical issue/concern including wounded, ill, and injured Soldiers, and military Caregivers. Whether you have questions about the Disability Evaluation System process, the VA Caregiver Program, or benefits, the WSFH and Ombudsmen are standing by to assist. Inspectors General determine the state of the command’s discipline, efficiency, economy, morale, training, and readiness as directed by the commander. All IGs extend the eyes, ears, voice, and conscience of their commanders and are responsible for advising these commanders on the state of their commands and for enhancing the command’s readiness and war fighting capability by performing the four IG functions (Assistance, Investigations, Inspections and Teaching and Training).

Youth Sports and Fitness

Sports and Fitness Program provides Team Sports, Individual Sports, Fitness and Health Programs and programming in the Child Development Centers, School Age and Youth Programs. Pre-registration is required for Sports and Fitness programs. Children and Youth that are currently registered in CYS Services can be enrolled in Sports and Fitness using WebTrac.
