Academics/Education - Army Community Service (ACS)
Army Community Service (ACS) has a wealth of resources for Soldiers, Families, Reservists, Retirees, and DoD Civilians. The programs offered within are designed to enhance quality of life, promote resilience and self-reliance, and provide stability during war and peace. ACS offers a place to find the type of support needed for the enhancement of both individuals and Families.
Academics/Education - Army Education Center
The Fort Drum Army Education center provides educational opportunities and counseling for Soldiers, Veterans, and their families, as well as DoD Civilians. Colleges offer traditional and non-traditional classes that are open to the military and local civilian population.
Academics/Education - Soldier and Family Assistance Center (SFAC)
The SFAC conducts referral, liaison and coordination with installation and local agencies to deliver non-medical services to Soldiers and Families assigned to the 3-85th IN Warrior Transition Battalion (WTB), Families who remain in our area while their Soldier heals elsewhere. The SFAC provides services on-site and establishes priority appointments on behalf of Warriors and their Family Members in transition for services not available on site.
Administrative Services - Casualty Assistance
We owe a large debt, our security, our prosperity, our standing among other nations to the veterans who have faithfully served our country. Our mission is to repay that debt through timely reporting and coordination for the provision of accurate, meaningful, and compassionate support to our soldiers and their families during casualty incidents and situations and rendering of Military Funeral Honors to those who have served.

Administrative Services - Freedom of Information Act - Privacy Act
The Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) is a Federal law that establishes the public’s right to request existing records from Federal Government agencies. The FOIA provides for prompt, maximum release of DOD records to the public unless such requested records are specifically exempt from mandatory public disclosure under the FOIA. Only the Secretary of the Army and the Initial Denial Authority (IDA) may deny a request for Army records.

The Military Personnel Division's mission is to ensure the full spectrum of military human resources programs, services and systems are professionally executed to support the readiness, mission and well-being of all Organizations and Soldiers (Active, Reserve and Guard) assigned or attached to Fort Drum.
Administrative Services - Personnel Services Branch
Records:  Military Personnel File custodian for all non-PSDR units. Provide update assistance for ORB's and ERB's and Casualty Documents. Promotions for all non-PSDR units.  Processing the promotion packets and board results for the semi-centralized promotions to SGT and SSG. Assist Units in identifying and preparing their Soldiers and Officers for centralized promotion board consideration. Personnel Actions for all non-PSDR units.  Process requests for compassionate reassignment, statement of service, applications for Green to Gold, Soldier's citizenship applications, Name Changes, Army Married Couple's Program, etc. eMILPO: Monitors and manages the Personnel Service Center (PSC) Code FS10 data base for all units and Soldiers assigned to the PSC Code FS10.

The 10th Mountain Division (LI) and Fort Drum Retention Program leads a comprehensive effort to provide accurate and relevant professional and career development to all Soldiers and ensure the highest quality Soldiers are retained. Services include: Reenlistment , reclassification, extensions, MAR2, professional/career development
Administrative Services - Retirement Services
To provide quality service regarding benefits, entitlements, information and referral to Retirees, their Family as well as active duty Soldiers and their Family preparing for retirement. The Retirement Services Office also publishes the Fort Drum Retired Army Newsletter; advises and supports the Fort Drum Retiree Council, develops public support of Army programs and informs the retired community of upcoming events of interest.
Administrative Services - Soldier For Life - Transition Assistance Program (SFL-TAP)
Career Guidance Counseling (pre-separation Counseling), Individual Transition Plan, One-on-One Counseling, Department of Labor (DOL) Employment Workshop, VA Benefits Brief, Seminars (Resume, Interview, Education, Financial Readiness, Small Business). SFL-TAP provides transition assistance to those Service members within 18 months of their separation or within 24 months of retirement from the military, their Family members, DA Civilians, and Veterans.
Administrative Services - Transition Center
To provide the highest quality separation processing to Active Duty, Reserve and National Guard Soldiers assigned to and/or passing through the Fort Drum Community.  This includes the timely and accurate preparation of DD Form 214's (Certificate of Release or Discharge from active duty) and the publishing of all separation orders.

Deliver state of the art military personnel and essential human resource support services to the 10th Mountain Division, Tenant Units, Families, DoD Civilians, Contractors and Retirees of the Fort Drum community. Air Quality Index
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has a tool to communicate the status of local air quality to the public—the Air Quality Index (AQI). The AQI is derived from real-time air pollution measurements taken at monitoring stations throughout the United States. The AQI has three components: a color, a score and a health message recommending protective action based on the level of air pollution.
Alcohol and Drug Related Issues - Army Substance Abuse Program (ASAP)
Services include; Prevention Education Program, Biochemical Drug Testing, Employee Assistance Program (EAP), Suicide Prevention Program, and the Risk Reduction Program. The ASAP Clinic offers screening, assessment and counseling for alcohol and drug related issues.
Alcohol and Drug Related Issues - Behavioral Health
The Department of Behavioral Health (DBH) is staffed by military and civilian providers who provide outpatient assessment, diagnosis and treatment for behavioral health and traumatic brain injury rehabilitation to active duty Soldiers and their Family Members.
Annual Drinking Water Quality Report
The Consumer Confidence Report (CCR) is an annual drinking water quality report prepared by an organization that provides drinking water through a community water system. The US EPA requires that water purveyors for community water systems provide a CCR to their customers by July 1st every year. Information contained in the CCR includes the source of drinking water, applicable water quality requirements, and water system monitoring results for the previous year.
Army Pregnancy Postpartum Physical Training (P3T) Exercise Sessions
Pregnancy and Postpartum Physical Training (P3T) exercise sessions assist Soldiers in maintaining optimal fitness during pregnancy and improving readiness postpartum, to return a fit Soldier back to unit PRT after maternity leave and the postpartum period.

Offering services and support to address identified stress and prevent Family violence the goal of the Family Advocacy Program (FAP). SUB-PROGRAMS Incl: Baby Bundles, New Parent Support Program (NPSP): In-Home Support, Domestic Violence Advocacy, and Command and Troop Education for parenting, stress and anger management, child abuse prevention and domestic violence prevention.

Child and Youth Services - Child Care Parent Central Services
The Parent Central Services (PCS) office operates as a one-stop child/youth registration point for all delivery systems. Parent Central Services is your first stop for information, registration, enrollments and referrals. Registration, enrollment and program orientation are required for participation in CYS Services programs. The first step is registration which requires the patrons to provide the following: •child’s up-to-date immunization record •proof of family income (LES/pay statements for all adults in the household) •child’s health assessment/physical •2 local emergency designees and telephone numbers •Family Care Plan (applicable branch of service format) – dual or single military only Registration cannot be completed without all current, required information.
Child and Youth Services - Community Listening and Information Forum (CLIF)
Community Listening and Information Forum(CLIF) is designed to keep Soldiers, Family members and other community members informed on a variety of topics and to raise issues and concerns. Meetings take place on the 1st Wednesday of the month at The Commons. Meeting frequency may change during the summer months.

Child, Youth and School (CYS) Services provides programs and services for children of eligible military and civilian families. The MFLCs also offer assistance to military children in some local school districts to assist with issues such as School Adjustment, Deployment and Reunion Adjustments, and Parent/Child Communication. * Parents must give permission for children to be seen.

Counseling - Sexual Harassment and Assault Response and Prevention Program (SHARP)
Staff provides victim advocacy for survivors of sexual assault and sexual harassment, as well as accompaniments for investigation endeavors by law enforcement, SJA, and any needed medical treatment if requested. The resource center will also assist with linking survivors to other needed resources such as counseling, and other services needed both on and off post.

Provides professional and timely support to active duty, Reserve and Guard Soldiers and their Family members through workshops, breifings and services developed to enhance mission preparedness and self-reliance throughout the deployment cycle. MOBDEP offers FGR Leader, Key Caller and FRG Informal Funds trainings, CARFE Team training, Security Awareness trianing for Families, Family Readiness Liaison training as well as Resilience Training.

Drug Disposal
Most unused and unneeded pharmaceuticals can be disposed in special drop boxes located at the pharmacy. This removes potentially harmful medications from the home and provides environmentally safe disposal. Contact the Pharmacy for any special concerns.

Employment Services - United Service Organization (USO)
USO is a private, non-profit organization that provides morale and recreational services to members of the U.S. Military. Recreation and entertainment/internet and video games. Ping pong, pool, conferences, TV, and a movie theater.

Family Resiliency - American Red Cross
The American Red Cross prevents and alleviates human suffering in the face of emergencies by mobilizing the power of volunteers and the generosity of donors.
Family Resiliency - Army Family Action Plan (AFAP)
AFAP is most often recognized for the local level conferences held each year to seek input on critical issues that affect the well-being of the individuals on a specific installation. The AFAP tries to resolve issues at a local level; however, if a resolution is unattainable at the local level and the issue has merit, it is forwarded on to the Forces Command level. If the issue is not resolved at that level, it is then forwarded onto the Headquarters, Department of the Army AFAP. The AFAP process is made up of delegates from all over the installation, including but not limited to, Active Duty Military, Reservists, DA Civilians, Family Members, and Retirees. All of their input and experience goes into working the issues and finding resolutions. If you would like to become a part of this important process as a delegate, recorder or facilitator or you would just like to submit an issue or concern contact by calling, emailing or visiting AFAP in the ACS Building.
Family Resiliency - Army Family Team Building (AFTB)
Fort Drum AFTB is a volunteer based program. Volunteer instructors teach other Family members about the military lifestyle and resources providing the tools and skills needed to become vital members of their community. As well as instructing, we offer a variety of volunteer opportunities. AFTB Instructors are available upon request to conduct classes or separate modules for individual units, organizations, and family readiness groups on a contract style basis. Family Resiliency - Army Volunteer Corps (AVC)
The Fort Drum Army Volunteer Corp seeks innovative ideas and processes to improve the quality of life at Fort Drum through the use of volunteer agencies. We offer quality volunteer work experiences in environments where volunteers are appreciated and valued. Administrative, medical, mentoring, teaching and coaching are a few of the opportunities that are available. Many agencies have flexible schedules and some even reimburse you for childcare. You can volunteer for a day, an evening, for a one-time event or for ongoing activities for as long as you desire.
Family Resiliency - Commanding General's (CGs) Hotline
The CG's Hotline is for Soldiers, Family members or Civilians who feel that they have exhausted their chain-of-command options and resources to solve problems and issues. How it works: Callers using the hotline will speak with the garrison command group representative. The caller will be interviewed to determine what has been done, what the desired end state is, etc. This summary is then sent on the command group who will review and determine the appropriate course of action. Upon submitting the issue to the agency directly involved in the concern, the agency then has 72 hours to investigate and provide a response back to the representative, who will, in turn, share with the command group and discuss with the caller.
Family Resiliency - Community Information Services (Information & Referral - I&R)
I&R serves as the central distribution point for ACS information, flyers, brochures and upcoming events and activities. Individual and Family assessments are conducted to ensure appropriate assistance or referrals are provided. In addition, we maintain an extensive resource file of local public, private and voluntary agencies and organizations to assist individuals and Families with getting the support they need. The ACS kitchen and Family lounge provide a place for you to rest and prepare a meal when in transition No matter the need, we are here to support you.
Family Resiliency - Employment Readiness Program (ERP)

Family Resiliency - Exceptional Family Member Program (EFMP)
EFMP helps provide support and the required care for Family members with disabilities and special needs, to better support the Soldiers and Family members stationed at Fort Drum. An Exceptional Family Member is a dependent Family member (child or adult) of an active duty Soldier, with any physical, emotional, developmental, behavioral, mental, or intellectual disorder that requires special treatment, therapy, education, training, or counseling on an on-going basis.

Family Resiliency - Financial Readiness Program (FRP)
Personal financial and consumer affiars services are offered to clients develop and maintain a realistic spending plan, reduce debts, understand and improve their credit, plan for the future through saving and investing, understand the Thrift Savings Plan (TSP), plan for retiement, learn how to buy a home and car, manage student loans, and resolve consumer complaints. FRP offers classes and individual counseling to those requiring or wishing to receive personal assistance. Family Subsistance Supplemental Allowance (FSSA) screening is also available.

Provide non-medical short-term counseling services to individuals, couples, families and groups for issues including, but not limited to, Deployment Stress, Reintegration, Relocation Adjustment, Separation, Anger Management, Conflict Resolution, Parenting, Relationship and Family issues, Coping Skills and Grief/Loss. The MFLCs also offer assistance to military children in some local school districts to assist with issues such as School Adjustment, Deployment and Reunion Adjustments, and Parent/Child Communication. * Parents must give permission for children to be seen.

The Relocation Readiness Program is a comprehensive program designed to help Families in the relocation process. Available seminars and briefings cover a wide range of topics. Join us for a welcome tour and newcomer's orientation, cultural activities, and more. Relocation Readiness' goal is to help you make a smooth transition. For Families who are in transition, there is a well-stocked Lending Closet. Borrow basic household items, such as pots, pans, dishes, silverware, sleeping mats, folding table and chairs, playpens, highchairs and car seats for up to a 30-day lending period. Infant/toddler seats are mandatory for vehicles in New York State; the Lending Closet has an ample supply.
Family Resiliency - Sexual Harassment and Assault Response and Prevention Program (SHARP)

Financial Services - Army Emergency Relief (AER)
Army Emergency Relief (AER) is a private, non-profit organization established to assist Soldiers and their Family members in emergency financial situations due to no fault of their own. Financial assistance is given in the form of an interest-free loan, grant, or combination of the two. Loans are repaid by an allotment. To apply for AER assistance, the Soldier should be seen by the Unit Commander/1SG for interview/counseling to determine if the situation can be resolved through the chain-of-command or some other source. After determining that the Soldier has a valid emergency, the unit commander would then authorize the individual to seek AER assistance.

Fitness - Atkins Functional Fitness Facility
This newly renovated, state of the art cross-training facility focuses on training Soldiers for combat. The Combative room is completely matted and features a 18' boxing ring, heavy bag, and speed bag area. The Combative room can be used for all levels of combative training for certification. The Strength Training Room offers half racks with weights and bars, 5-125 lb. dumbbells, kettle bells, weight benches, slammer balls, core balls, ab machines, glute/ham machines, climbing ropes, pegboards, and cargo climbing net. An indoor astro-turf area with 5-25 meter sprint lanes, pull and push sleds for strength and speed, cardio machines: Woowway FORCE treadmills, Jacob's ladders, concept rowers, ski machines and endless rope machines.

This facility is a state-of-the-art fitness center with cardio and weight rooms outfitted with the latest equipment on the market. equipment. There are two classrooms which house aerobic, special events and group physical training. Sexual Assault and Harassment - Sexual Harassment and Assault Response and Prevention Program (SHARP)
Staff provides victim advocacy for survivors of sexual assault and sexual harassment, as well as accompaniments for investigation endeavors by law enforcement, SJA, and any needed medical treatment if requested. The resource center will also assist with linking survivors to other needed resources such as counseling, and other services needed both on and off post.

These activities include trips to the beach, 5K runs, gaming tournaments, car shows, white water rafting, off-post entertainment venues, and activities/parties in the BOSS Centers, which boasts big screen televisions, gaming systems, free Wi-Fi, and areas for table games.

The Family Readiness Support Assistants are here to assist the FRG Leaders in supporting their FRG Program.  The FRG gives a sense of belonging to the unit and the Army community—the Army Family. It provides a way to develop friendships, share important information, obtain referrals to needed Army resources, and share moral support during unit deployments. For the long-term, involvement in FRG activities can foster more positive attitudes among Army families and provide a better understanding of military life, the unit, and its mission.

Fort Drum's Family and MWR Fitness Centers and Intramural Sports Programs offer state-of-the-art facilities and programs in support of mission readiness, preparing and keeping our community healthy in both mind and body. Social and Recreational Services - Outdoor Recreation
The Fort Drum Outdoor Recreation facility offers a number of recreational opportunities for Soldiers and Family members in the Fort Drum community. Outdoor Recreation is home to Remington Park, Fort Drum's premier recreational destination. Remington Park Cabins and RV Park and Camping reservations may be made through Outdoor Recreation.  Within the Outdoor Recreation facility, you will also find Leisure Travel Services and Warrior Adventure Quest. The Fort Drum Hiking Club offers regional day hikes for all ages and abilities throughout the spring, summer, and fall. The Recreational Shooting Complex is located off of Pannels Road between Outdoor Recreation and the Warriors Transition Unit. The Fort Drum Child, Youth and School Services Sports and Fitness Program emphasizes safety, participation, fun and good sportsmanship. All registered participants are evaluated, assigned to a team, issued a basic uniform and guaranteed a specific amount of playing time. The program is designed to provide all youth the opportunity to participate, develop fundamental skills and grow in an atmosphere of sportsmanship, citizenship and teamwork.

State Epidemiologist
State Health Department Lead State Epidemiologist is an appointed primary state epidemiologist, responsible for the identification and response for all health threats that occur within that state. This individual is selected by each state’s primary health official (usually the state health department director), or the state board of health. A state epidemiologist is usually responsible for each state’s infectious disease epidemiology program, often along with many other state health agency programs involved in disease detection and prevention.
State Public Health Laboratory
State Health Department Laboratory conducts laboratory testing for most all analysis requirements for public health surveillance. This may include monitoring and detection testing for environmental health, food safety, infectious diseases, newborn screening, public health preparedness, radiation safety, and many other tests. All state public health laboratories are part of the National Laboratory Network, and respond to novel strains of disease, natural disasters, chemical spills, foodborne outbreaks, and other public health emergencies.
Suicide Prevention - Behavioral Health
The Department of Behavioral Health (DBH) is staffed by military and civilian providers who provide outpatient assessment, diagnosis and treatment for behavioral health and traumatic brain injury rehabilitation to active duty Soldiers and their Family Members. Specific programs include: Screening for TBI, Depression, PTSD, Anxiety, ADHD and other behavioral health conditions; Individual and Group Counseling; Medication Management; and evaluation and treatment for partner relational problems and domestic violence. A Behavioral Health Triage Clinic is available during regular duty hours for Soldiers with urgent behavioral health issues in Building P36. Referrals to inpatient care at other facilities are available as determined by the treatment team. Wounded Warrior Ombudsman Program
The Wounded Warrior Ombudsmen serve as a local resource, facilitator, and problem solver for Service Members and their Families. Ombudsmen are located in the Medical Treatment Facility (MTF) and serve as a liaison between MEDCOM, the Soldier and Family member, the MTF commander, and the Warrior in Transition Unit (WTU) commander. The Ombudsman assists WTU and non-WTU Soldiers and their Families with medical related issues. The Wounded Soldier Family Hotline (WSFH) [(800) 984-8523] serves as a 24/7 resource to any beneficiary seeking assistance with a medical issue/concern including wounded, ill, and injured Soldiers, and military Caregivers. Whether you have questions about the Disability Evaluation System process, the VA Caregiver Program, or benefits, the WSFH and Ombudsmen are standing by to assist.
