Air Quality Index
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has a tool to communicate the status of local air quality to the public—the Air Quality Index (AQI). The AQI is derived from real-time air pollution measurements taken at monitoring stations throughout the United States. The AQI has three components: a color, a score and a health message recommending protective action based on the level of air pollution.
Al-Anon
Al‑Anon is a mutual support program for people whose lives have been affected by someone else’s drinking. By sharing common experiences and applying the Al-Anon principles, families and friends of alcoholics can bring positive changes to their individual situations, whether or not the alcoholic admits the existence of a drinking problem or seeks help. 1 in 5 US adults has been harmed by someone’s alcoholism. Al-Anon provides support to anyone affected by someone else's alcohol addiction or alcohol use disorder, regardless of whether sobriety is present. Al-Anon is a program not only for friends and families of alcoholics but is a true base for living life.
Alcoholics Anonymous
Alcoholics Anonymous is an international fellowship of men and women who have had a drinking problem. It is nonprofessional, self-supporting, multiracial, apolitical, and available almost everywhere. There are no age or education requirements. Membership is open to anyone who wants to do something about his or her drinking problem.
American Red Cross, Quad Cities & West Central Illinois Chapter (Moline, IL office)
Improve the quality of human life and enhance individual self-reliance and concern for others. Red Cross services help people prevent emergencies, prepare for emergencies, and respond to emergencies when they occur.
Annual Drinking Water Quality Report
The Consumer Confidence Report (CCR) is an annual drinking water quality report prepared by an organization that provides drinking water through a community water system. The United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) requires that water purveyors for community water systems provide a CCR to their customers by July 1st every year. Information contained in the CCR includes the source of drinking water, applicable water quality requirements, and water system monitoring results for the previous year.
Army Community Service Information and Referral
A key source of integrated information that brings people and services together every day with ease, compassion, and quality to meet vital needs within our Arsenal and surrounding communities. Our vision is for all people to have easy access to information about the full range of services provided in the Quad Cities communities.
Army Education Center
The RIA Education Center (ACES) offers Military Testing: Armed Forces Classification Test(AFCT), Defense Language Proficiency Test (DLAB), Defense Language Proficiency Test (DLPT), Oral Proficiency Interview (OPI), Test of Adult Basic Education (TABE), Instrument for Flight Training (SIFT); offers Student Financial Aid Assistance and a Tuition Assistance Program
Army Emergency Relief (AER)
Provides financial assistance during valid emergencies that are unforeseen and require immediate attention. Assistance is provided as an interest free loan. Under extreme circumstances, assistance may be given as a grant. Emergencies must have originated from other than the Soldier's own actions. Food vouchers are also available to families in need.
Army Family Action Plan (AFAP)
Provides a way for Soldiers and family members to let Army leadership know what works, what doesn't, and ways to resolve issues
Army Substance Abuse Counseling Services
Clinical Substance Abuse Counseling services are provided for all Service Members (SM) who have issues with alcohol and/or drugs through self, command, medical, chaplain, and medical referrals, etc. ASAP Clinical Counseling services are provided at RIA Services for military family members with substance use/abuse issues are also provided.
Army Volunteer Corps
A trained and resourced professional volunteer force supported by Army leadership and prepared to contribute to Army readiness and well-being.
Base Housing
Rock Island Arsenal has designed and built over 71 new homes, and 1 community center for the families of Rock Island Arsenal to use for special events. Living in on post housing brings many benefits. Did you know that the BAH you pay covers more than just your rent? It also covers all of the following: routine maintenance, on-call emergency maintenance, average utilities, trash, and recycling. Rock Island Arsenal Housing looks forward to assisting you in your relocation process.
Behavioral Health Services
The Rock Island Health Clinic provides and offers a variety of counseling, crisis intervention and referral services. Treatment is provided through a multidisciplinary team approach.
Bettendorf Transit
Bettendorf's transit system (BT) plays an important role in the overall transit network in the Quad Cities. In the area as a whole, BT links to the Davenport (Citibus) and Rock Island (MetroLink) systems, City of Bettendorf proper transit is a means to manage congestion on busy thoroughfares and offers service beneficial to employers/employees, businesses, casual travelers, students, senior citizens, individuals with disabilities, and those in economically disadvantaged situations. BT currently consists of 3 fixed routes and a fleet which was significantly upgraded in 2017. The fleet consists of 5 twenty-one passenger vehicles, and are all lift-equipped for wheelchair accessibility. All buses are also equipped with bicycle racks which can accommodate 2 bicycles up to 75 lbs. total weight. BT's service area covers a major portion of the City of Bettendorf, providing access to a variety of schools, shopping centers, hospitals/medical centers, local businesses, park/recreational areas, the library, museum, and various visitor ""must see"" attractions. General fixed route fare is $1.00, with special $.50 fares available for Seniors (citizens over age 60), local college students, persons with disabilities, and ParaTransit services. Bettendorf Transit is in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA): all buses are ADA accessible, and an ADA paratransit service (Dial-a-bus) is provided by the City of Bettendorf under contract through River Bend Transit. This is a demand-response service which offers accessible transportation to those unable to access fixed route service (more than 2 blocks from any fixed route), and is in full compliance with ADA guidelines. BT connects with both CitiBus and MetroLINK, and offers the monthly Quad Cities Monthly Pass in coordination with those two systems. Transfers to CitiBus may be made at the meeting point location at Burlington Coat Factory/Lincoln Road and at Northridge Mall. Connection with MetroLINK may be made at the transfer point at Centre Station, downtown Moline.
Boys & Girls Clubs of the Mississippi Valley (BGCMV)
The Boys and Girls Clubs of the Mississippi Valley ("BGCMV") is a member of the Boys & Girls Clubs of America, a national organization of non-profit, non-sectarian private agencies serving young people in clubs nationwide. BGCMV is a youth development organization that promotes character development and prevents delinquency. This is accomplished through services directed at providing behavioral guidance and the promotion of health, social, educational, vocational and character development of children. Programs and activities are designed to help individual members by stressing health and fitness, citizenship and leadership development, skill development, and educational career development. BGCMV has been serving the needs of area young people since 1994 and serves nearly 700 members locally. All of our funding comes from individual and corporate donations, grants and special events.
Center For Alcohol & Drug Services (CADS)
"The Center For Alcohol & Drug Services (CADS), is dedicated to the prevention, education, and treatment of addictions, substance abuse, and other disorders related to the harmful use of alcohol and drugs. CADS offers a variety of substance abuse services focused on support, care, and treatment designed to meet the needs of families and individuals of all age groups in the community. We treat the addict, the abuser, and their family and friends. CADS has more than two decades of experience in the field of substance abuse, quality facilities, and a well-organized management structure. CADS is a multi-modality bi-state program licensed by the Department of Public Health in the State of Iowa and the Department of Human Services, Division of Alcohol and Substance Abuse, in the State of Illinois.
Centerstone Behavioral Health and Addiction Services
Centerstone is a not-for-profit health system providing mental health and substance use disorder treatments with locations in Florida, Illinois, Indiana and Tennessee. Our mission is delivering care that changes people’s lives and we achieve that mission through a robust offering of services and programs, including Mental Health Counseling, Addiction Recovery, Psychiatric Care, Housing, Crisis Services, Forensic Evaluation, Primary Care, Social Services, Therapeutic Foster Care, Children & Family Services, Residential Care, Intellectual & Developmental Disabilities Services, and Vocational & Workplace Services. Centerstone provides its services nationally through the operation of outpatient clinics, residential programs, the use of telehealth and an inpatient hospital. We also feature specialized programs for the military community.
Chaplain Support – Rock Island Arsenal (Army Sustainment Command (ASC))
The mission of the U.S. Army Chaplains Corps is to provide religious support to America's Army. Chaplains advise commanders to ensure the 'free exercise' rights for all Soldiers are upheld - including those who hold no faith. Chaplains perform religious support activities according to their faith and conscience and provide religious support of other faith groups by coordinating with another chaplain or qualified individual to perform the support needed. At the unit level, a chaplain and Religious Affairs Specialist Non Commissioned Officer form a Unit Ministry Team, or UMT, and are embedded throughout all three components of the Army -- Active, Guard, and Reserve.

Child Care Resource & Referral of Midwest Illinois
Child Care Resource & Referral of Midwestern Illinois is a not-for-profit social service agency, and responds to the community needs for affordable and accessible quality child care by providing resources, education, and advocacy for children, parents, child care providers and employers. The program is part of a statewide network of child care resource and referral agencies funded by the Illinois Department of Human Services (IDHS), as well as a part of the Child Care Aware National Network of Child Care Resource and Referral Agencies. Our services cover the Illinois counties of Henderson, Henry, Knox, McDonough, Mercer, Rock Island, and Warren. Our focus is on locating child care that is tailored to meet the needs of each family, helping families determine if they qualify for help to pay for child care, providing training for those who work with children, recruiting additional child care providers and providing relevant consultations in child care programs.  The agency is also proud to advocate on behalf of children, families and early care and education professionals.

Child, Youth and School Services
Child, Youth, and School Services provides a full range of child care programs and services for children ages 6 weeks through senior year in High School. Services include full-day, part-day, hourly, Pre-K, school outs, summer programming, sports and fitness, and instructional classes. All CYSS programs/facilities will be closed all Federal Holidays, CYSS CDC/CD Home/FCC Staff In-service Day and any other additional days/installation closures approved by the Garrison Manager. Fees will not be reduced, refunded or prorated for these days. Civilian Personnel Advisory Center (CPAC)
Responsible to plan and direct the administration of civilian personnel services and provide guidance and assistance to serviced activities pertaining to civilian personnel management; develops, promotes, and monitors civilian personnel policies to meet local needs; and implements policies and directives. Represents the installation in external contacts, applicants, other civilian personnel offices, educational institutions, and community organizations.
Commissary
The Rock Island Arsenal Commissary provides groceries to military personnel, retirees and their families in a safe and secure shopping environment. Shoppers save an average of more than 30 percent on their purchases compared to commercial prices – savings that amount to thousands of dollars annually when shopping regularly at a commissary. A core military family support element, and a valued part of military pay and benefits, commissaries contribute to family readiness, enhance the quality of life for America's military and their families, and help recruit and retain the best and brightest men and women to serve their country.
Community Action Child Care Resource & Referral Center
Community Action Child Care Resource & Referral Center works for children, families, individuals expecting a child and individuals with limited income. The referral center offers a variety of child care resources, to include the Early Head Start and/or Head Start School programs, Finding Child Care, Baby Pantry-to include diapers and wipes, Clothing- to include winter coats, School Supplies and Family Support. Community Action of Eastern Iowa provides services to more than 25,000 people every year. We are the Community Action Agency for Cedar, Clinton, Muscatine, and Scott Counties in Iowa, and we have been in business since the summer of 1965.
Community Health Assessment - 2018
The 2018 Community Health Assessment, a follow-up to similar studies conducted in 2002, 2007, 2012 and 2015, is a systematic, data-driven approach to determining the health status, behaviors and needs of residents in Muscatine and Scott Counties, Iowa, and Rock Island County, Illinois. To learn more about the health needs of the community, visit the Community Health Assessment page. The Community Health Assessment looks at all aspects of health. Health is a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity (World Health Organization). The Community Health Assessment evaluates the level of health in a community. A healthy community is one that continuously creates and improves both its physical and social environments, helping people to support one another in aspects of daily life and to develop to their fullest potential (US Department of Health and Human Services, Healthy People 2020).
COVID-19 Vaccine Education Initiative
The COVID-19 Vaccine Education Initiative is led by the Ad Council and the COVID Collaborative with the involvement of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to educate the American public and build confidence around the COVID-19 vaccines. The Initiative is designed to reach different audiences, including communities of color who have been disproportionately affected by COVID-19. By ensuring that Americans have accurate and timely information to answer their questions and concerns about vaccine side effects, efficacy, and clinical trials, our goal is to shift the public mindset from vaccine hesitancy to vaccine confidence. Davenport Citibus
The Davenport CitiBus transit system bus routes cover approximately 30 square miles of the City, with numerous schools, shopping centers, hospitals/medical centers, local businesses and tourist attractions within easy walking distance of most CitiBus routes.   CitiBus connects with both Bettendorf Transit and the Illinois Quad Cities mass transit system, MetroLINK.
Defense Centers of Excellence Outreach Center
The Defense Centers of Excellence for Psychological Health and Traumatic Brain Injury (DCoE) provides the Military Health System with current and emerging psychological health and traumatic brain injury clinical and educational information. We identify gaps and prioritize needs in psychological health and TBI research, and then translate that research into clinical practice to improve patient outcomes. DCoE is a division of the Defense Health Agency (DHA) Healthcare Operations Directorate. DHA is a joint, integrated combat support agency that supports the Military Health System.The mission of the Defense Centers of Excellence for Psychological Health and Traumatic Brain Injury (DCoE) is to improve the lives of our nation's service members, veterans and their families by advancing excellence in psychological health and traumatic brain injury prevention and care.
Deputy State Epidemiologist
State Health Department, Deputy State Epidemiologist assists the state epidemiologist in providing scientific and epidemiological expertise. Deputy state epidemiologist, is an an additional subject matter expert resource for public health and epidemiology.
Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
Providing confidential services for all Department of the Army civilian employees and their family members, retirees, and military family members. The Employee Assistance Program (EAP) offers Individual and Martial/Relationship Counseling.

Employment Readiness Program
Assist Family members who are relocating by providing information and other supportive services necessary to minimize the employment problems associated with transfer and relocating.
Equal Employment Opportunity Office (EEO)
Provides ways to improve diversity in the workplace and create an environment where all RIA employees are valued, respected, and free to develop and perform to their fullest potential.
Exceptional Family Member Program (EFMP)
The Exceptional Family Member Program (EFMP) is a mandatory enrollment program that works with other military and civilian agencies to provide comprehensive, housing, community support, and personnel services to families with special needs.
Family Advocacy Program (FAP)
The Army Family Advocacy Program (FAP) strengthens families by providing support, education and resources. FAP is a comprehensive program to reduce and prevent family violence. Personal responsibility and family resilience are watchwords of the FAP mission.
Family Child Care (FFC)
The Rock Island Arsenal Family Child Care (FCC) program offers parents the option of quality childcare in a home like setting provided by some of the most experienced and best trained providers in the Quad City area. FCC homes are located both on post and in the surrounding communities, and provide care for children four weeks to twelve years of age.
Family Resources
Family Resources supports successful lives to build strong communities, offering services in 11 counties in eastern Iowa and western Illinois including counseling and therapy, behavioral health intervention services, child welfare emergency services and Iowa Aftercare services. Comprehensive services are also available to survivors of domestic abuse, sexual abuse, human trafficking, homicide and other violent crimes. 
Financial Readiness
To provide personal financial management services which include: budget counseling, debt liquidation plans, consumer education on savings and credit card debt. Counseling is provided on an individual and confidential basis
Fire Department
In accordance with AR 420-24, it is a requirement for personnel to report fire incidents that occur on the Rock Island Arsenal, to include incidents discovered after the fact. Please report fire incidents discovered after the fact by calling 309-782-6116. Reporting fire incidents will allow our fire investigators to conduct a follow-up to determine if there are any contributing factors that may need post-wide counter measures as a means to prevent similar incidents from occurring elsewhere on the installation. The proper prevention and education offers a positive learning environment to teach fire safe behavior to a child who has displayed fire setting behaviors as a result of his/her curiosity with fire.
Fitness Center
RIA Fitness Center offers the following services for a charge: Zumba, Row/Core Fit, Spinning, Total RX, Cardio SD, Train Dirty Fitness and personal training sessions.
Friendly House
Since 1896, the Friendly House has provided quality, affordable and accessible programs and services to children, families and senior citizens. The Friendly House has sought to meet the needs of the community. In conjunction with the overall mission of Friendly House to enrich lives and strengthen neighborhoods, we strive to provide quality, accessible, and affordable programs to all who seek to use our services. Our mission provides that we work with the entire family unit, providing support and programming for all aspects of family life. Friendly House continues to offer programs targeting economically challenged individuals and families, providing programs and services for preschool aged children through senior citizens which support our family-based approach to service. While some of the programs have a fee structure that is based on family size and income, none of the programs determine eligibility for service based on income.
Gamblers Anonymous
Gamblers Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from a gambling problem. The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop gambling. There are no dues or fees for Gamblers Anonymous membership; we are self-supporting through our own contributions. Gamblers Anonymous is not allied with any sect, denomination, politics, organization or institution; does not wish to engage in any controversy; neither endorses nor opposes any cause. Our primary purpose is to stop gambling and to help other compulsive gamblers do the same.
Genesis Health System
Genesis Health System's mission is to provide compassionate, quality health services to all those in need. Genesis lives its mission each day by serving a 17-county region of Eastern Iowa and Western Illinois with comprehensive health care services. The Quad City Region served by Genesis Health System includes Davenport and Bettendorf (in Iowa) and Rock Island, Moline and East Moline (in Illinois). These cities are the center of the Quad City Metropolitan Area, which has an estimated population of 379,690. Genesis Health System is one of the region's largest employers, with nearly 5,200 employees. Genesis Health System is the largest employer in Scott County, Iowa.
Housing Environmental Health Response Registry
The Housing Environmental Health Response Registry is a resource for residents to report housing-related health information and concerns. Residents will be invited to enroll in the registry and initiate an exchange with public health professionals. Registry participants will receive information on in-home environmental health, assistance in seeking medical care, and an opportunity to share concerns with Army leadership.

Ideal Health and Wellness
An integrative clinic that blends traditional and natural medicine to provide patients with the best care that helps them live their ideal life. They have multiple providers with various backgrounds that include family practice, chiropractic, naturopathic medicine, gynecology, acupuncture, and IV nutrition therapy. They see infants to adults. Illinois Department of Veterans' Affairs
The mission of the Illinois Department of Veterans’ Affairs (IDVA) is to empower veterans and their families to thrive.  We do this by assisting them in navigating the system of federal, state and local resources and benefits; by providing long-term health care for eligible veterans in our Veterans’ Homes; and by partnering with other agencies and non-profits to help veterans address education, mental health, housing, employment, and other challenges.
Infectious Disease Epidemiologist
State Health Department Infectious Disease Epidemiology Program. The contact information provided is for the chief infectious disease epidemiologist in that program. Within these programs, each state conducts disease surveillance, collects information on reportable diseases from all healthcare providers and hospitals, and from local and regional health departments. Each state’s infectious disease epidemiology program investigates disease outbreaks, analyzes and distributes information on the incidence and prevalence of infectious diseases, health events, zoonotic and vector-borne diseases and vaccine-preventable diseases. States provide considerable disease and state-specific information on their state health agency’s website and search engine.

Installation Safety Office
To educate, promote, and enhance the safety, health, and welfare of personnel; manage and develop safety and occupational health policy, procedures, standards, and objectives for implementation of the Army Safety and Occupational Health Program within the installation as a whole.
Marriage & Family Counseling Service
"Marriage and Family Counseling Service is a Quad Cities community-sponsored resource for counseling and education in marriage and family life. The service is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors and derives its financial support from the United Way of the Quad Cities, grants from local institutions, and fee income. Marriage and Family Counseling Service provides marriage counseling, marriage therapy, marital therapy, family counseling, family therapy, family psychotherapy individual counseling, individual therapy, individual psychotherapy, and premarital counseling. Our trained therapists specialize in helping couples and families with issues like increasing conflict, poor communication, defiant children, affairs, depression, anxiety and many others. Given our mission of helping families in the Quad City area, we are also dedicated to training other helping professionals. Our graduate level classes and workshops offer the opportunity to learn about marriage and family therapy. Our internships provide doctoral-level students the opportunity to get daily training and supervision."
MetroLINK
The Quad Cities MetroLINK, officially the Rock Island County Metropolitan Mass Transit District, provides mass transportation for the Illinois half of the Quad Cities metro area.  With twelve (12) fixed-routes and sixty (60) buses, Metro buses serve the communities of Moline, Rock Island, East Moline, Silvis, Hampton, Carbon Cliff, Colona, and Milan in the Illinois Quad Cities. Most routes run seven (7) days per week in intervals of 15, 30, or 60 minutes.

Narcotics Anonymous (NA)
"Narcotics Anonymous (NA) is a nonprofit fellowship or society of men and women for whom drugs had become a major problem. We are recovering addicts who meet regularly to help each other stay clean. This is a program of complete abstinence from all drugs. There is only one requirement for membership, the desire to stop using. We suggest that you keep an open mind and give yourself a break. Our program is a set of principles written so simply that we can follow them in our daily lives. The most important thing about them is that they work. There are no strings attached to NA. We are not affiliated with any other organizations. We have no initiation fees or dues, no pledges to sign, no promises to make to anyone. We are not connected with any political, religious, or law enforcement groups, and are under no surveillance at any time. Anyone may join us regardless of age, race, sexual identity, creed, religion, or lack of religion. We are not interested in what or how much you used or who your connections were, what you have done in the past, how much or how little you have, but only in what you want to do about your problem and how we can help. The newcomer is the most important person at any meeting, because we can only keep what we have by giving it away. We have learned from our group experience that those who keep coming to our meetings regularly stay clean.

"Prescription drug abuse is a growing concern in America, due to the misuse of prescription painkillers (opioids), anti-depressants, anti-anxiety medicines, stimulants, and other medicines. When not used as directed, controlled substances can lead to behavioral disorders, addiction and even death. The National Presciption Drug Take Back Program provides a fixed secure community option for disposing of unneeded medicines, along with designated Prescription Take Back Events held throuhgout the year. The National Take Back Program is designed primarily to collect ""controlled presciption drugs,"" or those medicines classified as having a higher potential for abuse because they pose a greater threat to the health and safety to people. Prescription drugs collected by this program are also properly destroyed to protect the environment. The Quad City Rollers is the Quad Cities premier all-female flat-track roller derby league. Roller derby is the fastest growing sport in the world and the Quad City Rollers is proud to represent the Quad City area on the international level. Riverside Drug and Alcohol Services
Riverside, the hospital-based chemical dependency treatment program of UnityPoint Health - Robert Young Center, offers inpatient and outpatient services for adults. Services include 24-hour emergency treatment and crisis intervention, medical detoxification, diagnostic evaluation, and aftercare programs. Patients receive individual counseling and participate in group sessions. Since 1972, the chemical dependency programs at Riverside have helped thousands of people learn how to live more meaningful lives and remain chemical-free.Recovery from addiction begins with abstinence from alcohol and drugs, but it doesn't stop there. Recovery includes learning new life skills, and new ways to deal with emotions. Inpatient and outpatient programming is based on the principles of trauma-informed care and the belief that our clients hold the unique ability to lead fulfilling substance-free and productive lives. We believe that addiction is a disease and utilize the 12-step program. RYC supports the individual and their family throughout each stage of the substance abuse treatment and recovery process. Other services include recreational programs, relaxation techniques, positive living instructions and self-help groups, including Alcoholics Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous. Riverside is located at the UnityPoint Health – Trinity Rock Island campus. Individuals may be self-referred or referred by any number of sources, including community programs, family members or the court.

Sex and Love Addicts Anonymous (S.L.A.A.)
"Sex and Love Addicts Anonymous, or S.L.A.A., is a program for anyone who suffers from an addictive compulsion to engage in or avoid sex, love, or emotional attachment. We use the Twelve Steps and Twelve Traditions adapted from Alcoholics Anonymous to recover from these compulsions. We are united in a common focus: dealing with our addictive sexual and emotional behavior. We find a common denominator in our obsessive/compulsive patterns, which transcends any personal differences of sexual orientation or gender identity. Sex and Love Addicts Anonymous is a Twelve Step, Twelve Tradition oriented fellowship based on the model pioneered by Alcoholics Anonymous. The only qualification for S.L.A.A. membership is a desire to stop living out a pattern of sex and love addiction. Sex and Love Addicts Anonymous (S.L.A.A.) is supported entirely through the contributions of its membership and is free to all who need it.

State Environmental Health Laboratory
State Environmental Health Laboratory supports statewide environmental health protection monitoring by performing analyses for chemical, microbiological, and radiological testing, biomonitoring of water, wastewater, air, soil, hazardous wastes, and other environmental concerns. State environmental health laboratories are associated with that state’s public health laboratory.
State Epidemiologist
State Health Department Lead State Epidemiologist is an appointed primary state epidemiologist, responsible for the identification and response for all health threats that occur within that state. This individual is selected by each state’s primary health official (usually the state health department director), or the state board of health. A state epidemiologist is usually responsible for each state’s infectious disease epidemiology program, often along with many other state health agency programs involved in disease detection and prevention.
State Public Health Laboratory
State Health Department Laboratory conducts laboratory testing for most all analysis requirements for public health surveillance. This may include monitoring and detection testing for environmental health, food safety, infectious diseases, newborn screening, public health preparedness, radiation safety, and many other tests. All state public health laboratories are part of the National Laboratory Network, and respond to novel strains of disease, natural disasters, chemical spills, foodborne outbreaks, and other public health emergencies.

The mission of SOS is to provide enhanced services to families of fallen soldiers. Services include, but are not limited to, life skills counseling, specialized information and referral, and state and federal Survivor benefits counseling.
The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center - ARC, River Valley
If you or someone you know is struggling with substance abuse, we can help. The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center's provide a safe place for recovery, while rebuilding a lifestyle free and safe of dependency. No judgement, no shame. Our six month program offers a place to sleep, food to eat, and a new beginning - all at no cost to program participants. The Salvation Army is the largest provider of free, no cost residential rehabilitation programs in the country. Each year, we help more than 150,000 adults conquer alcohol and drug addiction. Our faith-based program enables participants to identify the root cause of prolonged dependence and seek recovery through strength from God. We offer a safe, compassionate place where people can heal. All their needs are met, including housing and food, so their energy is entirely focused on getting better. For six months, participants are immersed in our holistic approach to combat their substance abuse or personal challenges, so they can enjoy a healthy lifestyle. They participate in work therapy, group and individual spiritual counseling sessions, addiction education, relapse prevention and Christian living opportunities. This enables them to develop important life skills to combat addiction. The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center's are totally self-supporting, receiving no government funding.

Victim Advocacy Program
The Family Advocacy/ Victim Advocacy Program is a specialized function within Family Advocacy Program (FAP) providing comprehensive assistance and liaison to and for victims of spouse abuse and dating violence. The victim advocate serves as the primary point of contact (POC) (integrated within the existing FAP) to insure timely and complete care is provided to victims of domestic violence. Victim advocates provide information on resources available to assist victims of domestic violence. Victim advocates will maintain contact with the victim throughout the medical, investigative, counseling, and judicial process.
